Last time I checked Houston was about 250 miles and 4 hours south of DFW. At least it's in the same state.

You might also try Lone Star Performance (http://www.lonestarperformance.com) on Forest Lane west of Jupiter Rd. in Dallas/Garland. One of the guys there has a MM.

John Eagle Lincoln Mercury sponsors the Lone Star Cougar club and some /most of us folks here in the DFW area get parts from him if you join the club there is a pretty good discount. As in one purchase and you have saved enough to cover your dues.

Thanks, guys. I have a kid who lives in Houston and could probably handle some upgrades for me, but I don't really trust anyone to drive my car. Got a nephew who works in a speed shop in Minneapolis, but that's 1100 miles away.

Mine runs like it has 203HP instead of 302HP. I've never been able to get the tires to even chirp, let alone annoy any onlookers. It's embarassing. And yes, I've turned off the traction control.

My nephew seems to think that the only cheap enhancements are cold air induction, a real exhaust system, .410 gears, and a dyno-tune. I have no idea what all that stuff or a SC costs, and whether or not it would void my 100K warrantee. But I guess I'll look into it--when my wife is out of town, of course!!

Sounds to me you at least need the ol Stage 1 from Reinhart's.
Chip (or Tuner now) 4.10's,Stat and Plugs add a set of Kooks header and you'll have 300HP to the wheels like me! It will be about $2500 for the whole package plus labor to install.
Or you can just bypass all the above and order a supercharger around $6000 complete(plus install) from our site sponsers.

I went to their website and signed up. Couple hours later, someone named Arn sent me an email saying they were having pizza and a meeting starting at 6:15 this Thursday, the 9th.
