How??! By mental telepathy???! Is 10.5 TOO wide for the rear of the MM???

For sure Dan.

Good pics, but they appear to be 9.5" wide wheels after all. I sent the seller an e-mail, 10.5" wide wheels won't fit on a Marauder with the stock 50mm offset. By all appearances, these wheels will fit, he just has the wrong size listed. BTW, he is asking way too much for these wheels, you can get your own set made for a lot less, including long distance shipping

Looks more like 9.5" to me. "All sales are final."

guess that is why he wants the buyer to check fitment !!!!!

Gotta ask. Is Lidio the only one doing this? Cause the company is outta Mich.(note down at bottom where shipping carges are explained MI residents have to pay sales tax) If Lidio is the only one, this company could have gotten a set off of him. :dunno:

Lidio doesn't do this. He just knows a place that does.

Maybe these are the back wheels from that "Marauder" that caught fire on the Florida highway this morning...

I actually bought a full set of Marauder tires and rims from this guy. He can't spell worth a crap, but those tires and rims were on my front porch in less than 48 hours, they were wrapped up so nice and protectivley you'd think they were Fabrege eggs, and they were in fantastical condition. And no, I don't get any money for saying this. Although that would be nice:)

If they're 10.5" instead of 9.5" maybe they were the result of a "mistake" and somebody is trying to unload them. If they were the 9.5" width, that really isn't a bad deal. Figure $50 for shipping one way, $500 for widening and return shipping, $150 each for wheels (if you can find them for that), you're at $850. The 10.5" width might work with 1/2" spacers and QA1 shocks.

Lay that rim on the floor and put a oval piece of glass on top of it and you have yourself a limited edition Marauder coffee table. Godshead etched into glass is extra...

10.5 puts it just high enough to prop my feet on it :)

He's got it at 9.5 now and they appear to be just that.

I'd also agree he's not that far off on the price. My cost to get mine widened was $450 but those were my stock rims. If I'd bought an extra set of rims from somewhere....then had them widened....I'd be right up there around $850.

Guys, these were my wheels I got widened by Lidio....

I bought the wheels from S&G wheel and had them sent straight to Lidio for widening. I expected car wash marks to be so superficial that they would look like spidewebbing on paint.

The car wash marks are slightly worse than that so I worked it out to send them back to S&G wheel and I ate the shipping charges.

The guys are NOT fraud and are good guys in the dealings I had with them. They did NOT HAVE TO REFUND MY MONEY but did anyways because they are stand up.

But I will add the caviat that I only dealt with them this time so I am not giving them the official Todd endorsement if you know what I mean.

If you have any questions about the rims let me know.

They would be perfect for anyone that isnt as anal retentive as I am about everything looking perfect OR wants rims to run at the track and take off for daily driving etc.....

PS His cost is below what it would cost most people to get them done. It was spelled out in another post above but heres my example:

2 rims off ebay 2 x $190 = $380
Shipping for said rims 2 x $25 = $50
Widening from Lidio 2 x $225 = $450
Shipping from Lidio 2 x $20 = $40 (I am unsure how much he charged.$20 is darn close)
My total cost was $920.

I was refunded less than that but enough so it was worth it to me. I can buy Marauder rims at wholesale cost. I dont know why I didnt do that to begin with. So I will end up buying new rims straight from dealer through a friend and sending them to Lidio.

I apologize, Todd, for raising speculation on the cost of these wheels, or, their value in this e-bay auction. Thank you for sharing the history on it all too.

The wheels appear acceptable, the seller has provided excellent pics, yet I understand that pics don't tell the whole story. I'm not that fussy when I buy Marauder wheels over the 'net, and I've bought more than a dozen now. I have my resources for a good price, and another resource for healing any imperfections I may encounter, both of which keep my investment low and enhance my opportunity to turn them around.

My opinion ^ there, that these wheels were priced high, hasn't changed, and I don't feel compelled to defend, or, change my early opinion.

No appoligy needed here...

I didnt think anything of it. I just wanted to spell out how much I paid so others would know that the deal he is offering them for is not a huge markup. Looking back on it spending almost $1000 for 2 rims is outrageous. But to get 9.5inch wide stock rims you have no choice.....

Depending on how much you can find stock rims for, you will start out about $500 in the hole due to the widening cost and shipping from Lidio. Unless someone is buds with Lidio and can get them cheaper than $225 plus shipping.

I havent asked my source for a price for the stock rims yet. I just know they are wholesale (dealer) costs. Whatever that is.

Do the welds appear to be reasonable quality? Good workmanship?

Any wheel done through Lidio will be delivered to you, with top quality. Bid on these wheels as you want them, but the workmanship is superb, IMHO.

I'd agree with Mac. The workmanship is very very good. Shouldn't have any problems at all.

I wasn't questioning Lidio's wheels (or his supplier). I wasn't sure the pics in the eBay photo depicted quality welds.

All I can tell you is the wheels in this auction are widened by Lidio. They are the same quality as you see others mentioning above. There are probably hundreds of sets of rims on the road widened by Lidio and I have never heard of anyone talk about problems.

The welds look good in person. If that helps.

I am sending all wheels (6) out for reconditioning today.
Thanks Mac!, for the lead.
You better not auction the wheel I sold you :P !
I know where both scratches were;)

I did forget about the shipping charges and the crappy tire I had saved from my first set that I had remounted and balanced.:o
Now to go dig the winter wheel package out of the shed, for the time being.
