So many Marauders and none for sale currently in Phoenix closest California it won't be long for me even if I got to go a far distance. If had one wish it would be to have all the choices that most of the buyers have in the east.:(

You know, of course, it cost's the same to fly to Baltimore as it does to Houston. Just find one back here, make a deal, and come get it. What could be better than a cross country romp in your new Marauder? :D

If someone threatens me with enough money, I'd let mine go.

Send a PM to karthema. He has a really good relationship with the L-M store in Yuma AZ, and is getting another MM through their staff. He's here in San Diego on a different ship from me, but keeps in regular touch with the dealership in Yuma. Regards, -kjs-

Welcome AZ MM,

I live in Chicago, one of the largest car markets geographically, The most I have ever seen for sale, at any one time, is 4 or 5.
Patience , and you will find exactly what you are looking for.

Just checked Roswell (NM) Ford's website www.roswellford.com (http://www.roswellford.com) and they still have the 2003 Marauder listed. When I drove it a few weeks ago, it had 6800 miles on it, not the 6300 that is listed. Showroom stock! My nephew still feels bad that he could not afford to buy it.

Don't know exactly where in Arizona you are located, but it may be worthwhile to go look and drive it.

Hey there Az MM.....

AzMarauder here (bows... splits pants !)

Nice to meet you!

If you decide you want to run and get a MM that is weekend driving distance, holler ! I'll go with you! Like the Roswell one that is mentioned. We can dash up there, get the car, and dash back home.

Don't worry about a lot of choices... they only came in four colors ! :D

OBTW there are two MMs on Ebay in Houston, Texas !

I have been in the market for a second MM for some time. I finally scored a new black one (an 03) that is just east of Dallas.

In the process, I pounded my buddy at the Ford dealership in Yuma. I saw him on friday to give him the draft for the MM and he tells me he has a line on two never sold before 04's now. He will play the "I have a secret" game to a point, but I can very easily get you in touch with him.

He says those two are a silver birch and a DTR....new 04's, never titled.

Also, as I was searching around, I found ALOT of MM's all over the country. Seems most are up near Jersey and surrounding areas. But there are plenty of them in Texas and for some reason in Kansas City.
Drop me a line at on the ship (mcneilrc@reagan.navy.mil) and I will be glad to get you contact info to look for those MM's!!!

OBTW, I am in Yuma alot and my sister is in Mesa. Where are you AZ MM?

Back in November, I spotted a "still new" Silver MM at the Mercury dealer in Glendale. And then earlier this year I spotted a black one that had just came in on a trade-in at the Dodge dealer in Peoria. Well I'm sure they're both well long gone. They're around in the Phx area. They're just all bought up. I used to see them every once in a while cruising around town. I think the old people bought them up. I seen granny driving a silver MM one day.

My Fairlane is not an R code. It is a plain Jane Fairlane 500 (not XL or GT) and originally came with a 390 / 4spd / bench seat.

It is a resto-mod project with a 428/5spd/2000 Taurus Interior/disc brakes all around etc.

It still needs paint and interior finished. Externally it looks like the 427 powered Fairlanes (427 hood).

Ford never made a 428CJ 67 Fairlane. But that isn't the story I will be telling when I get it finished. It will be something along the lines of "a one of a kind concept car that Ford did before introducing the 428 in the Fairlane line in 1968."

Most folks will see right throught that.... I am just looking to catch the guy that says... " OH yeah! I heard of that car.... saw it in a magazine once!" :D

Then we've probably met... more or less. What color is your Fairlane? Convertible? The three that I've seen have been a kind of turqoise Conv, white original 427 car, and a red 66 GT. I've never had my Fairlane there... not far enough along in the project. Been there with my 03 Cobra (many times), MM, Starion, and Thunderbird TC.

Are you a member of SVTOA?

Don't be hesitant to fly cross country to get the right car. I just got back from Boston this afternoon with my 03 Silver Birch MM. One way plane ticket from Orlando to Boston was only $87 and the gas to drive it back 1400 miles was only about $120. Be willing to travel for the right car. :banana2:
