It actually does the opposite. In a real world test someone did, as mentioned on the Impala Web sites I frequent, the gas mileage went down due to a lack of air flow. :)

K&N states that their filters straighten out air to improve hp which is true if laminar flow is created. Laminar flow flows more efficiently than turbulent flow. The tornado creates turbulent flow. Also, the Tornado creates a restriction. The commercials showing them pass water from one 2 liter to another crack me up. That only works because they're exchanging water for air through the same path. If I ever need to fill my engine with water as quickly as possible, I'll consider the Tornado. Until then, we're all better off without it.

A buddy of mine put one on his Neon.... he swears by it.

If I ever need to fill my engine with water as quickly as possible, I'll consider the Tornado. Good one... :lol:
