Sturgis Falls CFR Party June 24th - 26th

A friendly reminder to all the midwest MM'ers that Cedar Falls has an annual city-wide party called Sturgis Falls Celebration. Sturgis Falls is the original name for our town when it was settled. We have free bands in the parks, we pretty much close down many streets and have a great time all weekend long!

I mention this because the 24th I want to invite everyone out to Cedar Falls Raceway for a night of Test-n-Tune racing and then down to the party! If you stay till Saturday morning, you'll see our very own MERCDADDY (Casey) in the Sturgis Falls Parade with his Mustang.

So, if you are so inclined, let me know and maybe we can have an "after-the bars" poker party too!

Headed up Friday sometime, I'll try to coordinate with you if we can work it out. I ususally get a couple of old High School buddies out to the track that night, I'm sure this year will be no exception. Always a good time, you'll enjoy it.

We all know the weatherman can't predict farther than 24hrs... They are now predicting thunderstorms for Friday Night (40%). I'm here already so I'm going to hope they either don't materialize or pass us by.

Andrew, what is your playing schedule for Friday night? Want some MM'ers to come and watch? You play tuba, no? (haha!)

Anyway, if it does rain (like the last time), we can always play in the rain downtown with all the other hot drunk Sturgis Falls chicks..

We play in Independence that night. I should be back around 10:30 and figured I'd catch up with you guys somewhere. We play a similar concert at Sturgis on Sunday afternoon, which will include some music from Star Wars. Since I play horn, gotta love the John Williams stuff.
