So what do you think about the team who won the Pocono 500 last weekend?
With their win the MMs have become more valueable.
:)
Is anyone tracking the wins of Rousch Racing who designed the MM engine?
:(

I was and still am confused about that too. I don't know what the Pocono 500 was so I just sat quietly till someone else responded. :P
Maybe it will make our Rousch designed intake manifold worth 10 cents more.

The Pocono 500 is a NASCAR race at Pocono Raceway in the Pocono Mountains of PA. 200 laps around a 2.5mi track.
As with the rest of everyone else, how does this make our cars more vauable???

First off, Roush didn't design the 4.6L engine. Ford gives him a contract to develope from corporate design. And don't just give him praise, remember in the mid 90's when SVT didn't sell Cobra Mustangs, Roush designed. And like it was said, he had nothing to do with the Marauder. I know as I did the durability testing for that engine and its derivative the Avaitor.

All I remember about Cobras in the mid-90s is that you could not get one for less than sticker price. They were usually about $5k over sticker. So, I don't know what you mean when you state they didn't sell.

However, Don't make the price over sticker be your argument.
Look at the Ford GT. The dealers are demanding WAY over sticker.
They are just not selling.
See this link: http://www.fordgtprices.com/pages/9/index.htm
Check halfway down the page, the graphic overview of units sold vice units on hand and being made. As well as planned to be made. The dealers have surely screwed the pooch on this.

Wasn't it the 99-01 Cobra owners who sued FMC over horsepower issues, and won?

Jack Roush didnt design anything on the production Cobra. Since our car is basically a parts bin special.. Ford hired him to design a intake for our car since it was on the left on the Cobra.
Sorry for the deglorification.

Left. Right. Driver's side, passenger side, what ever...
But, you are correct. All Roush accomplished was a reversal, or, a "mirror image, flipped upside down" of our upper intake manifold. Thanks.
If this is "desigining" our MM engine...Nevermind. This point has been made.

I know there was a threat of a class action law suit. But, I don't think it got anywhere. I'm sure I would have been notified if there was one since I own a 99. I think Ford reacted quick enough to make the suit unnecessary.
rocknrod - I just meant that these vehicles flew out of dealers at over sticker price. If they weren't selling, the dealers would have sold them for less IMO. The GT is a special case since there are so few. Dealers think they can charge more. I'm sure all the recalls and other issues they are having with them decreases demand quite a bit.

Sorry for the deglorification.Do you know where I can get a listing of the "parts bin special" parts used on the marauders?
At what this car was new (twice the price of a Grand Marquis GS) it has to have lots of special parts, even if out of other Ford products.
thank you
Jim
