mustang stereo in a mm???

my friend has a 05 mustang and she has a 6 disc in dash cd player. could this be easily installed into a mm? does it require a diff wiring harness? and will the steering whell controls still work? any help, thanks.

Isn't the MM radio single DIN? I believe the 05 Mustang is double or 1.5 DIN. If all true, it wouldn't fit in the dash.

If they are the same size, I suggest going to a local audio shop or Best Buy/Circuit City etc. and ask for the aftermarket wire harness adapters for both an MM and 05 Mustang. Compare the harness plug thingies (whatever their called) to make sure they are the same shape and size. Also, the harness will come with wiring instructions which you can use to see if wiring is the same. The instructions may be inside. So, you may have to buy both. Also to warn you: Best Buy told me here in Detroit area at least, the gov't won't allow you to return wiring harnesses if you buy them. I don't know if that's BS.

I just talked to a guy who does our radio work. He says it will not work or fit. Mustang radios have been bolt in since 2001. MMs have a snap in style radio. Plus the harnesses are different.
