Here is Phil Hooker car, he has a 02 CV sport it was bone stock Phil drove here from Texas, this car on a base run made 178 RWHP as you can see by the dyno sheet the car shut down below a 111 MPH.

So we brought the car in and installed a Marauder air box, Under drive pulleys Denso IT 20 spark plugs a 180 degree thermostat, Shorty headers and we replaced the OEM H pipe.

I thought I would post some pictures, to show what mods we did here , first we remove the OEM manifolds and cats, install the shorty headers and then place the new twin high flow cat system up to the OEM H pipe. Then we cut it so the new X pipe can connect directly to the stock mufflers with the adapters we provide, this allows for a clean install any one can do at home or on a lift.

Phil also wanted an upgraded gauges for water and oil pressure, so what we did is take the OEM tray out and install a Marauder Gauge pod along with Auto meter Water temperature and oil pressure gauges.

Next we got the car back on the dyno, the car gained over 40 RWHP and ran 140 MPH, needless to say Phil left here smiling

That's good to hear, Dennis. It just seems that the SOHC 4.6 is pretty hard to get power out of - and it could dearly use it in the bigger Panther platform.

What would you recommend as a good Stage I or Stage II kit for a CV LX Sport? And what all is needed for the Vortech supercharger install on the 4.6 SOHC motor?

Thanks,

Dennis,

What X-pipe is this and does it bolt right up or is there some modifying that has to be done?

Its party of the system I sell, for the Marauder you will need the Maniflods with it for the CV you will need shorty headers

Pretty good numbers but shouldn't it have been more with those mods? My old 2002 CV Sport did 234 at the wheels after only a chip from Innovative Interceptors and an ADTR intake....nothing more. My next mod to the car was buying a Marauder....lol. :D

But 45hp over stock is still pretty darn good. :)

These are very good numbers, especially for a 2V he probably could have made more had I leaned the car out more but this is a business car daily driver, and he loves the car he is happy which make me happy.

That's cool...as long as the customer is happy. :)
