Has anyone here picked up this game ?

A couple of my co-workers told me about this game
and the graphincs absolutely ROCK !
I am currently using an ATI Radeon 9800 PRO 128MB.
I've never seen anything like this before.

If you are interested in getting in the game, and you are a Diablo fan,
do a GOOGLE search on Guild Wars PREORDER.
There are several offerings that include SPECIAL WEAPONS.
Each Retailer is offereing a different weapon.
You can choose your weapon based on which CHARACTER
you'd like to be in the game.

The Characters are:
Elementalist
Mesmer
Monk
Necromancer
Ranger
Warrior

If we get enough people to play, we can start our own team.
Team play is really interesting in Guild Wars,
cause unlike Diablo, if you are killed, your weapons are safe
because they are ASSIGNED to you and ONLY you
so no one else can use them.
In Diablo, if you got killed in battle, it was a free for all for your weapons
unless you played with a group of people that you could trust.

I'm afraid what would happen to what's left of my sleep schedule if I started that game. Battlefield 2 has been bad enough. I got all of 4 hours of sleep last night. :shake:

I went through a tough addiction period with the latest online Final Fantasy and can't even get near a online game without falling into relapse :(

Final Fantasy even had a warning everytime you start playing to not forget about your family, friends, and job! I however did. I called in sick, I stayed up all night, I didn't answer the phone. I was a nut!

There are a lot of members of my clan (xtreme-players) who play Guild Wars, I'm just not too into the MMORPG games, but I was tempted to try this one. The no monthly fee really appeals to me. I am in another clan for Battlefield 2 (Brothers of War) and we are going to be competing in the ladders. Fourth Horseman, if you'd like to come play on my clan's server sometime, just type BoW or Brothers of War in the server name filter. Maybe I'll catch you online sometime.

Been there for a while too. Not playing much these days due to my real life schedule. I may be getting back into AC (the original) again but not until I can find some time.

Thanks for the invite! I'll definitely come check it out. I usually go by "Sub_Orbital" in game. If you see me, send a few 5.56s my way. ;)

In my experience that's a real problem with games like that. When I played I also would only spend a few hours a week, and all my regular team mates would out-level me. Within a month I was so far behind them I couldn't group with them any more.

MMORPGs just require way too much of a time investment for me. Too bad, too, because I think they look really fun.
