As I posted before, to accomodate my new Autometer D-Pic Gauge I decided to upgrade from an A Pillar double gauge pod to a triple pod. While my gauge install is still a few weeks away, I picked up the completed triple pod today.
Since I am still using the double pod, I ordered another A Pillar from The Dealer, and took it, along with the original passenger side A Pillar and a new double and single Autometer Pillar Pods over to Marietta Auto Trim. (Any good trim shop should be able to do this for you.) John at MAT created the triple pod for Legal Knevil and wrapped it in the Ford leather used in the Marauder, so I commissioned him to do mine as well. John cut the double pod in half for the upper two pods, and used the single pod for the lower pod. He reshaped them to fit the A Pillar contour using a heat gun. He then wrapped the A pillar, then stitched together cups for the pods. Final step was to wrap the passenger side A pillar to match. The results are great looking, far superior to the painted plastic pods and attaching pins.
Here are shots of the completed pod. The openings for the gauges have not been trimmed out and will be done by the gauge installer, depending on the fitment of the gauges.
