Since you have it on order already, and your "tech" has given his approval, I see no sense in discussing it all now.
Happy motoring!

Happy motoring!well the reason i'm asking here because there just might be somebody who knows something my tech don't... like a "second opinion" and if there is a problem I have a friend who will buy the trans fluid for his f150..... thanks

Don't know the specific answer to your question; but we've been using Amsoil products for years and feel there's none better. I guess you "bought" a dealership ...smart move. :)

I tried it in my bike... it kept my bike lubricated. Nothing more. I say that because Amsoil users seem to be a cult and many claim it's an oil that's just short of being a blessing from God.
I don't use Amsoil anymore... it wasn't the price - it was just too much of a pain to acquire vs. the oil I get from my dealership... where I have to go to at least buy the stupid drain washer.

I put Amzoil in a 454 Mercruiser once and the OP dropped pretty bad at idle?? I was using Castrol 20W50 and hot idle was 35-40 PSI...with the Amzoil it was 15-20 PSI.....still OK but I didn't like it!! The dealer said I must have too much main and rod clearance....(BULL HOCKEY!!!).....I took the stuff out....went back to Castrol 20W50 with good OP and ran the motor over 2400 hours with NO PROBLEMO!!!! :bows:
I think Amzoil is OK but like was said before...hard to get and pricey!! Mobil I will do just fine!!

Whatever "floats your boat" or lubes your engine & tranny..... Everyone has their own favorite oil so whatever works for you. :)

I have been using Amsoil 5W-30 with the Super Duty filter. The oil and filter get changed every 7,000 miles and I haven't had any problems. Of course we won't know what the inside looks like until it gets torn down.

Okay...Wait a minute now!
Let me ask one question here...
If this is an Amsoil thread, is it a real oil thread? Or, just a synthetic blend of a thread?
