I just got the deal of a lifetime from my pal BradleyG! He just sold his PHP Intake Spacer and Steeda U/D Pullies to me for $150.00 and one good detailing  That is a good deal for 14hp & 12 ft/lbs consistant across the band (Per Brad's Dyno Run) I told him I was saving up for an investment that will pay off in a few months, but I can't turn down this offer, and this won't kink my investment as I have a few other detailing projects coming up.
Tomorrow I will head out to get some new supplies for his car, nothing different, but I need to replenish my supplies anyways. The last black car I did took eight hours and I told Brad he can drop the car off and take mine for the day, I'll call him when I'm done.
I guess with my current mods plus these, I could use a real dyno tuning session. I'll bet that will help me out too.
Thanks Brad!

Intake gaskets are reusable, the black and blue ones anyway. But, you'll need two gaskets now. You own one, Bradley shouldn't need his extra if he's taking it off his car. Brand new, the PHP spacer comes with the required second gasket, and some new bolts. If you don't get the extra bolts, no worry. The OEM bolts are fine, just clean everything up before you install, and go easy with the torque? Take your time, and don't use power tools. This stuff strips much to easy.

Yeah I have to search for install tips and torque specs...thank you

I agree Mac!
The member I bought the PHP spacer had the gasket damaged in shipping,He purchaced a new one.He also annodized the spacer black.
He won it at the MVII event.
I got xtra allen head bolts because I partially stripped hole #5 on the install.Thier was plenty of threads left when I used the correct length bolt.Members helped me out when I was frustrated with the install. That is worth everything to me.The Brotheren is incredible here!

You know, people need to discover the search button more often - I just found answers to my questions that were answered in late 2003.
So it looks like these pullies will be fine, but I may need to increase my RPM idle +200. Sarge, you also reported no change in engine temp after U/D pullies, does that still hold true? I mean, you may have revised that or posted something different later on that I missed about the water pump. Also no complaints from the A/C department that I saw, but a few questions arose.
I think I got it all...

I never upped the RPM's and never had a bit of problem!

Oh that reminds me. I already have a charging problem at idle with my stereo going. We'll see....

Have your idle in Drive upped by 100 RPM or so and you shouldn't have any charging or A/C issues. I never had any engine temp problems with the pulleys, either.

I don't know if you already installed the spacer, but in case you haven't, here are some tips from a guy that installed his and had no problems:
Originally the spacer came with extra gasket needed and a set of bolts (they are exact lenght as OEM) so is ok to use OEM bolts. This is the important part to save you some grief. Use a 1/4" drive wrachet and simply go around perimeter SLOWLY turning bolts a little bit at a time, you can feel the gasket compressing, you keep slowly tightening until you feel that the gaskets are no longer compressing...and you stop.
The torque specs don't really apply when you are adding spacers because you are gripping less intake and less bolt threads.:)

Thank you RF & Smokie. I was driving around last night and it seems like it is taking less and less bass for the lights to dim and I got kinda ticked. I went from Skynard to Chingy to test out the problem, and although Chingy (rap) brought the lights down low I still never dropped below 12 volts. I will be talking to a local alternator supplier soon.
Brad, that IS the reason

whats up 90,
I, also, have a bangin system in my MM. A few things you might want to do is 1) get a higher ampage alternator, 2) put a deep cycle battery or a capacitor up to your system, or 3) take your stereo out and listen to classical.....yeah right! I dont know where you are located, but my brother in law is an installer at a high profile audio shop in Jupiter. They do to car stereos what Dennis does to MMs. How loud is your system?? With one 12" sub I was pushing 144db on the meter. (the sub, box, and amp are for sale....going to upgrade) the box is custom for the MM trunk....it will also fit in a CV, GMQ, towncar, continental. Anyways, if you need any sound advice, let me know......Marc

Cool Marc, thanks alot.
I got a suggestion to go with a 300a alternator with my 1000 wattsx1 RMS amp, think thats the right direction?

Definately a good choice. That should take care of the problem and save weight. If that doesnt help with your lights dimming when your sub hits, then I would suggest a smaller capacitor. But honestly the 300a should do. Let me know how it turns out.

I don't have UD pulleys on this MM, but I had them on my first. No AC/charging problems with them, sorry I can't help.
I have a kicked up stereo system now too, 800 watts from two JL amps, through two JL subs, and no problems such as you describe. My battery has gone dead a few times, but that's from me running accessories with the engine off. Also, it's almost 4 years old, and due to be replaced anyway, so, I can't call it a "problem", just old. Good luck, dude.

I actually got the numbers mixed up, it was a 200 amp alternator for almost 600 bucks. For obvious reasons I'll tinker around with a 2nd battery, like there was on my truck that had no problems, before I take that plunge.
Thanks folks.

Two Batteries?
So much for the Pully/ PHP spacer gains!:P
I know who to ask for a jump start!

Hey! I am using it now!
It won't work with a Trilogy Kit.
I made sure it stayed in the family!
Thanks for noticing!

Have I just discovered how sleazy this Intake Spacer is? It's been sandwhiched from both ends on two different occasions so far
