OK, I have this game and haven't played much of it but i do know it has hundreds of secret cars you can unlock and then tune, modify, customize, drag race, track race and stuff. I assumed I would never be lucky enough to have a MM in it but then i saw this today:
http://64.233.187.104/search?q=cache:zhgJVV-dAEwJ:www.gamespot.com/ps2/driving/granturismo4/reader_review.html%3Fid%3D3286 460+mercury+marauder+speed+cha nnel+special+2002&hl=en&start=6
Scroll down through the list of cars this guy says is in the game and you will find a 2003 MM! is this true?
The day i bought the game I went to the Ford and Mercury dealers (where you can buy a car to race with) in the game and didn't find the MM but hundreds of the cars are hidden and only unlocked after doing a particular task or winning a race.
Anyone have the 411?

I've won many cars including my favorite Cadillac Cien so far, but no Marauder just yet. There are some hard core gamers that I'll bet have beat the game already. Find their forum and ask.

Different site, same answer:

That concludes that there must be a MM in the game but now I MUST know how to get it! I would love to supercharge it and do some drag racing*
*if i can't afford to do it in real life least i can pretend!

I just went to some Gaming sites. either the Marauder is already unlocked in the game or it dont exsist. Game Winners.com goes through each car and tells you how to unlock it. the Marauder is not on the list nor is it mentioned anywhere else in the Game Hints. Im ready to go buy it and play it 24/7 to find it!

I am at the 40% range and have not seen it yet. I have seen a car list somewhere for all the cars that you can win after each event. The Marauder is not listed. I've pretty much given up quite awhile ago. The manufacturers races gets silly when you have to race a 90 hp car around a track 3 times. That takes longer than a high powered car around the Nurbergring. :mad2: That's just not the way I want to spend my spare time. The Missions are cool but they get annoy too when you have to wait 30-40 seconds to start each race because you have to give the other cars a head start. :banghead: The ones where everyone gets a rolling start are much better.

Near as I can tell it never made the cut. I was going to set my x-box aside and buy a PS2 just for this game, but it appears that in the final editing the MM lost out.
I gather its a cool game, but can't understand why we'd need 53 versions of a WRX, Evo, or NSX... seems like they designed it with their home Japanesse market more in mind than us Yanks.
But if you find it, let me know and I'm a buyer.
Oh, nuther theory... the game was supposed to be introduced a long time ago... when even Mercury still had high hopes for the Marauder's popularity. I think the Chrysler 300C got our spot.

Yup, exactly. This is why I've jumped off the Gran Turismo bandwagon. I just don't want to drive Japanese cars, and the selection of American and European cars (both of which I *do* like) is slim.

This all makes sense now. I do believe the 300C did take our spot. The million versions of a car I do not like is why I put the game down and haven't continued playing it. That and the fact that turbos have this cool turbo sound but when I got supercharger for my Mustang GT it didn't sound any different at all. What a let down.

What about the Xbox game forza motorsports? also is there a CV that you could make into a MM?

In "Ford Racing 3" you can at least drive a Crown Vic Sport. Squint your eyes a little and it looks like a Marauder! It's ridiculous some of the lame cars you can drive in games like GT4 and Forza, but no Marauders. It's truly turning out to be the Rodney Dangerfield of musclecars.
