Well RocknRod's thread got me going again to tell you guys where I'm at. I started a thread awhile ago talking about my 59 Apache and how I should set aside time to work on it and thats what I've been doing. The bed wood was is great shape since I replaced it a couple years ago, but the stain and clear were not. Thats what I'm working on now.

Here is a picture from 10 minutes ago of my progress. I chose to tape off all the stainless steel bed strips and bolts (after cleaning them) and go from there rather than pulling out each piece of bed wood again, since that would quadruple the time frame needed along with the labor. And in this case since most of the stain and clear coat is in tact from when I stained & installed new wood awhile ago, especially in the cracks, I think taping off the strips was the best idea. I've already started sanding:

As you can see I now have a custom aluminum tank in between the frame rails rather than inside the cab behind the bench seat.

I've installed carpet and reinstalled the factory bench seat, everything looks great inside the interior now. All the knobs and chrome doo-dads are brand spankin' new, the cables hanging are Throttle and Choke.

Here is a closer look at how nice the chrome is (Its been re-chromed) and I know its dirty:

Nice work so far. I will post up some pics of my 67 RS in progress. Full ceramic exhaust, SSBC 4 wheel discs, 3.73 posi auburn diff, full poly suspension, body mounts. what a vice!

 I hope these load up decent. Aside from new brake master cylinder and new e-brake cables, the exhaust really sets it off under the car. the 4 disc set up is really nice too (after having drums for the last 18 years since buying the car). suspension is tight. and the subframe connectors add even more stiffness. I must say, after finally going for it, this car has been seriously overhauled. I hope y'all gear heads can see my point.

That looks great! Man what a nice work area too, thats one thing that slowed my '65 Spitfire restoration, I'm doing it outside in the sun on concrete. *sigh*

Can I ask, is that you're own garage? Is it a commercial garage? Just curious how some people are able to use commerical facilities to work on their cars, I know it's knowing the right people, I'd love to get something like that close by so I could have a clean, indoor shop to work on my Spitfire. Heck I'll even bring most of the tools.

Right now my Spitfire is a 45 minute drive away without traffic, with traffic it's 1.5 hours, which makes going home to the parents house each night to work on it sort of tough to do once I finally make it home...

Seriously though, that truck is lookin' great. Hopefully once I get some suspension parts coming in I'll be able to update the Spitfire's progress with, finally, some pictures of assembly happening.

Looking good Jason. That trucks gonna look great when you are finished. I wish I had the time and money to continue work on my 47 Chevy Fleetline. Hopefully when I get some of these loans out of the way.

My Camaro is at a (new found) friend's shop. He works on some Police POV's. and he just applied with the Fire Dept here after a mutual friend and I coaxed him into applying. He mostly does upgrades to Ricemobiles (Turbos, suspensions, engine rebuilds.....) but he has let me in his shop to work on my own car when his mechanics are busy on other cars. That way I can see what other crap I can do to my car while it's on his lift. :D

But my ride is just bout finished for now. then I'll bring him the MM to do the PI TC and the rear engine cooling kit, the tranny pan, the Metco DS Safety loop, and so on, and so on, .....
