Was at the cruise at Burger King from about 5:15 to 7ish, and there was another black MM there. I'm so tired right now for the life of me I can't recall the license plate, it was vanity, a harley riders plate. The car was great, had headers, wilwoods, k&n intake. It was Mark's.
I stuck around near it for awhile, occasionally walking around to see the other cars. On one of these trips the owner returned.
I knew it was a guy here mainly due to the CAM plates under the hood. :)
I knew it was Marks b/c I came back to the car show with a friend later tonight, the good crowds were gone and we weren't going to stay long but I ended up meeting a guy with a V6 'stang with nitrous. He's a member of the Northern VA Mustang Club, and said the mystery Marauder had headed up to the 'Stang gathering. He knew all about that Marauder and it's owner.
So did you see mine there? I had a prime spot but was asked to move by the owner and ended up getting a back row spot.
Both Maruaders got ton's of looks. :)
Too bad I missed you at the show, but I did sign up at NVMC since I have a '90 GT as well. May bring the 'stang down to the next show in Chantilly.
Anyway, sorry if I'm forgetting details, I've been up to long today tooling around on the car and doing generally nothing so it's due time for some sleep. :)
EDIT: By the way, you guys should be glad I was able to edit my title, I submitted the thread not realizing I had mispelled "Manassas" as "Manass"...geez that was embarrasing!

Sorry that I missed you guys at the Manassas cruise. :( Had to make a trip up to Baltimore yesterday for a hospital visit. Didn't get back until almost 7 PM myself. Traffic on I-95 and I-495 was way heavy but at least it was moving. See ya at the next CAM gathering and maybe we can all roll on over to Manassas together.
I have been tagged. Yep that was my car at Burger King. It has been making regular visits to Burger King since Oct 2002. The Prince William County Cruisers hang out there and sponsor several car shows in our area. I was their for about an hour, but was trying to talk Sam into sell me his Red 68 GTO. I dashed out to the Northern Virginia Mustang Meeting then proceeded to the movies to watch the War of the Worlds. I want a refund . Sorry for not recognizing you. Shoot me a e-mail when you are coming out next. I can be also found on Fridays at other cruise nights at BJ Warehouse near Potomac Mills Shopping Center or Chic Fil-A Fill in Sterling Va.
Note:
Cruise-in-with the Cats

Coolness, I'll let you know next time I go. Also, I can probably make it to the show on the 8th you mentioned. Crusin' with the Cats, is that specific to one model of car?
I joing the NVMC too so I'll take my 'stang down to the next event trusting I fix my issue with my belt being eaten...I think my power steering pump has bad bearings, should the pulley have any play? It's got like 1-2mm of play...oh well, I shouldn't threadcrap in my own thread huh. :)
I'm realizing there are some more crusie events in this area than I thought - I'm glad!
I was pretty upset with the Burger King the other day though. We came back at night and the crowd had changed drastically. The owner came out to, I believe, quiet some of the racaus music that was playing. The reaction he got from the crowd was less than ideal.
As he was walking back some of the people in the crowd began verbally harrassing him.
It really upset me, the guy is providing us a service and they showed no respect. Obviously they were the younger crowd. At that point any inkling of hotrodness that was left at the show promptly left leaving pretty much Honda's and junk.
I think for those of us who attend that show it may be good that if we see the owner of the burger king (larger older gentleman) we thank him for allowing us to show our cars at his establishment. Obviously he profits from it due to the large crowds, but I'm sure it's only worth it to a point if he has to constantly deal with miscreants each night, and possibly police intervention from some of the activity I've seen.
So I'm betting each night he gets plenty of negative reinforcement as to why he should shut it down, I just hope he's getting equal or more positive reinforcement by the crowds of people who benefit during the day.
The import crowd are the ones that continually create all the problems. They show up around 7-8 and draw the attention of the police. That’s why I don’t stay late. The “Cruse-in with the Cats” is a Delmarva Cougar Club event. An since they share a Mercury background I thought we would be very welcome to this cruse. Logan ( The Owner of this site) also owns Mercury Cougar.net.
You don’t have to own a mustang to be a member of the NVMC. You can bring your Marauder to the event also. In the next two weeks is Test-in-Tune at Mason Dixon. If you have never drag raced your car this is an ideal time to put it on the track. It’s a four hour event and offers plenty of time to practice your reaction times.

Yeah, the import crowd at night is pretty bad. It's a shame, part of me has some respect as they ARE customizing their cars. At the same time it's so apparent that it's more about their attitudes and showing off than it's about the cars. In a sense the cars today show that attitude directly - they're gawdy and do everything possible to grab attention.
Even last year I recall the evenings not so bad - it was full of imports, but also some muscle cars. The thing was the people, while some weren't all into the cars, weren't all that bad. This year I've seen a fight break out, and I've seen people yelling at the owner. In just one year it went from bearable to unbearable at night.
I'm all about the cars, check the attitudes at the door!
I'll check out that Merc show, I like Cougars and tbirds as well. :)
Also if interested there is an all Vette show in Vienna coming up. I think it may be next weekend but I'll have to recheck. You may have heard about it. My roommate may go as he has a C5 vette.

Look no further, Oct 8 & 9th at Virginia Motorsport Park (http://www.virginiamotorsportspk.com/2005_vmp_racing_schedule.htm). It's the largest vette event in the area.
