We're traditionalists. We will lay around the yard until noon or so (I'm on the laptop and wireless LAN from the patio now) with the dogs. Then, because we are traditionalists, we'll go get Thai food and see a movie.

Started at 7 this morning in the garage watching it rain and listening to 2 CD's while Zainoing, Postal Service CD "Give Up" and Leann Rimes "This Woman". Listening to Black Sabbath's guitarist Tony Iommi's new release "Fused" and surfing MM.net now. Probably grill up a rib eye for lunch and hope it drys up outdoors so I can do some cruising and hopefully catch some fireworks displays tonight. HaPpY 4tH oF JuLy to everyone!!!
Click below to listen to a full Tony Iommi song using RealPlayer, serious rockers only please. . .:D

2 days of cookouts at a relative's house + swimming and chowing down. Lately, I've too tired to do anything else afterward. Maybe I'll get a nice view of the fireworks from my roof (if I can stay up for it).

...nothing,.. I'm tired. I've been working 60+ hours a week for a couple months. I'm just gonna chill out. The next time I'll get two whole days off will be Labor Day.
I think I will take my daughter to see fireworks tonight, she's only 10 months so I won't get too close.

We'll be going to my sister-in-law's house for some backyard fireworks and a neighborhood cookout.
I know what you're thinking ... but this "Redneck Fireworks" display has been truly impressive in year's past. The finale is a set-piece of more than 16,000 bottlerockets going off in sequence. It's louder than the "official" fireworks put on by the city.
If I remember, I'll try to post some pictures of last year.

Worked the 4 AM to 4 PM holiday schedule, home resting some sore puppies now. No complaints, but I've had enough of the fireworks. I'll have a few "refreshments" and turn in early, it's been a long day. Remember y'all, the 5th is a work day.

What did I get done...
Busy day
Changed the oil in my MM. First time since installing the remote oil filter. Much nicer.
Put a coat of wax on the MM. Stripped it off yesterday with the Hotsy.
Drilled a hole in the floor pan and installed sensor wiring for the EGT and AFR sensors. I'll get Todd to install the bungs next week.
Trimmed the rough edges off the Pro-Gard. Mostly just needed some filing of the rough cuts I made during the install last week. Thought about cleaning up the exhaust tips but ran out of time.
Friends and family came over this afternoon for a cookout, so I even got a little R&R time after sweating over the MM.
