The spoiler on my MM has started to come off in the summer heat. Seems whoever installed it cheated and just used double-sided tape to mount it. I bought the car used with the spoiler already on it in case your wondering! Anyway, Now approx 14" of the spoiler has pulled loose and popped up off of the trunk lid. Now I'm going to have to pull the spoiler and drill the proper holes to fix the problem. My question is. What size/type of bolts or screws were used to mount the spoiler? I'd like to know before I pull it so I can buy them before hand.

The installation kit for the OEM spoiler has bolts, instructions, templates, etc.
It is a bit late here but I will go look at mine tomorrow and post up here (if no one else has done so by then) what information I can find etc.

Actually, it requires both drilling and double sided tape for installation. I saw the same problem on another member's MM. It won't fall off, though.

The installation kit for the OEM spoiler has bolts, instructions, templates, etc.^^^what Az said^^^
Unfortunately, the instructions are written in that "Universal Sign Language" style, with plenty of graphics and very few words, and don't specify the dimensions or thread size of the bolts, other than there being 4 of them, with 8mm heads...I recollect the bolts are about 1" to 1¼"...and the double-stick tape appears to be standard-issue 3M weatherstrip, either ¼" or perhaps 3/8"...both the bolts and the tape should be available at any well-stocked hardware store, like Home Depot or the Mega Lo Mart... :D
I have the complete installation instructions scanned, along with the drilling templates...if you PM me your e-mail address, I'd be glad to send them along.

I see RF has you covered. Best thing about that is if it was scanned to scale... and you print to scale ... you will then have the templates.
