There is a nice little story in HOT ROD about Dennis R and what he has done for the FHP. It is too bad we don't see more stories about the MM or for that matter the wonderful things Dennis is doing with them.

I wonder if those MM's are exempt from polution controls? With all those modifications, I don't see how they are legal.

As long as there is a computer managing the engine,
they are not exempt from any Emission Controls or testing.
They have to pass a state inspection, just like the rest of the vehicles
in Florida do.

We dont have emission checks any more. So I think they are safe for now.

I wonder if those MM's are exempt from polution controls? With all those modifications, I don't see how they are legal. The only modification that would effect emissions is the "tuning". From the article it appears to me that this is the "standard" SCT tuning which is emissions legal. 270 hp at the rear wheels is a small bump from stock. I think the LEOs generally like a very conservative package since they need to have a 99.9% up-time.

Just my two cents.
