As I'm sure everyone knows from my posts I had the following done and my opinion:

Eibach springs on front and adjusted air ride in back: Looks great, a little bouncy like my 350Z which I expected. Firm sporty ride = little bouncy. It handles much better. Feels like a smaller car now actually. (They did a alignment and wheel balancing as well)

JLT cold air intake: Feels a bit faster but i don't hear anything as most have said they hear. Maybe the flowmasters are covering up the sound.

SCT Excaliber tuner (programmed by Lidio): Amazing, as everyone has said prior. The shifting is perfect as it should have been. This is a must have for everyone. Feels more responsive but the clean proper shifting is mainly why I got it. I hated the overdrive gear kicking in at 40 :mad2:

I did hear some 'pinging' or 'knocking' at extreme RPM that I havent heard before but I am wanting to say it may be due to fresh oil or the fact I'm out of gas (lights on) and the gas remaining may not be the greatest. I hope that this doesn't turn out to be the tuner settings. I will check my oil level when I get off work as well just in case.

The 4.10 and 'shiney hiney' cover are still in the trunk :( due to the shop backing out from installing it. He did tell me today that he recently lost his tech who mainly did this work and didn't want to chance my future business by having a tech who wasn't 100% sure of himself attempting it. He told me where to take it in town to have it done and did a oil change for the inconvienence.

I plan on getting them installed in a few weeks and look forward to that.

Sounds like my mods. I have lowered front springs, JLT intake, borla mufflers, tuning, and waiting to put in my 4.10s and girdle becasue my guy backed out also on the gear install. :D

Glad to see I'm not alone in my depression. I had to throw a towel over the 4.10 box so I wouldn't keep seeing it when I came and went from the garage.

Woot! I'm getting my 4.10s put in on Thursday. This is the last of the "major" required mods to wake this beast up. :burnout:

The 4.10 is also the last 'major' thing for me. I need to spend cash on other parts of my life after what I've spent on the MM in the last few months :P

Only thing i see in my MM's future after the gear swap is maybe some tires before the years over. Her cosmetic surgery is hereby over!

Nuthin' "cosmetic" about those go-fast goodies!

You were wise to wait for an experienced mech to install the gears. I had to drop off my car and wait for over a week before he called and said it was ready. But this guy is good and knew exactly all that needed to be done, because I gleaned all I could from this site and gave him a test. No kidding. After the install he gave me a run-down on clearance's achieved, preload and torque values applied.

The gears really woke up the beast. You'll be happy I'm sure.

Ditto. I like the 4.10's very much.

Put a blower on it and you will have to change your signature to:

2003 350Z Fast
2003 Marauder Fastest

Ya gonna be at Team Ford to get them installed while you have breakfast at Cracker Barrel this Saturday? Let us know and we'll arrange a ride for you to get back and forth.

No, I have actually wanted to come for a meeting but I work on most Saturdays :(

Plus I couldn't convince 'the Boss' that I had to drive all the way to ATL for a 'brake job' :P

I made up some bull crap story about how the shop couldn't put the special rotors I ordered on and referred me to a guy down the street (the guy that will be putting the 4.10 in) which I'll find time to go to in a few weeks

It will be amazing how this 'brake job' will make the car faster :D

My basic recipe of mods was completed today with the installation of the 4.10s. The gears, K&N CAI, and SCT Tune by Dennis Reinhart are all I plan on doing for now except for a dyno tune to tweak for max horsepower. The shop asked me to break in the gears for about 200 miles before making any "balls to the wall" blasts. But, I can tell the basic throttle response around town is much improved. The car feels like it shed 500 lbs or more. Exciting. Now, if it will stop raining in Orlando I might get to visit the track for some time slips. :D

I waited until 500 before playing around. I'm not sure if it matters to wait that much more, I'm just saying I got the 500 from someone that has been in the transmission and rear end business for 20 years.
