I did a search and to no avail didn't find what I was looking for, so....
Has anyone done or contemplated making the passenger-side window an "Auto down" feature from the drivers panel??

Dennis R has these features but it's with his viper alarm system as well as start up.

Hadn't looked into it yet for my Marauder, but it was real easy on SHOs. Shouldn't be that different or maybe could use some of the same parts like the auto down relay for an SHO and wire it in or something.

I'd really like both front windows to be auto down / auto up.
Our wagon has this and it's an addicting convenience!

The "auto down" feature requires an additional circuit board in the 4-switch module in the driver's door. I don't think it's possible to add auto down to the other switches in the module, so you'd have to add something external - a la Dennis' alarm with this mod.
The way that module is cunstructed, I can't even add transient supression devices to get the switch contacts to last longer.
It would be a nice mod, though...

Yes I agree that is an excellent MOD. I have confidence that someone on this board will figure it out. Heck my Silverado has that feature.

I'm goin to the junk yard to find an SHO. Shouldn't be a hard mod.

If you do find one and it works let me know. I had a '96 SHO and it didn't have this feature. So I'm guessing it's from a '95 and earlier version.

Do the search on crownvic.net. I think P71Interceptor had a tech article on this.

i asked this same question about a year ago. I wondered if the brain behind the auto-down feature was actually in the switch. I never got a good answer and the cost of a new driver's side switch was too much for curiousity, so i forgot about the whole darn thing.
I, too, would be grateful for some real knowledge as well as a roadmap with complete directions on how to acheive the other three windows with the same auto down feature.

i dont have an answer either but i'd like auto up and auto down on every switch.
is there even a ford switch with auto-up&down that would look oem and fit?

There is a thread on it on crownvic.net. Search for "auto down" for all posts and there is a 4pg topic on what to do with a link to P71Interceptor.com.
