Hey guys, Bob J. here. Would someone in the Balt/Wash area get back to me with some information about CAM or the Northeast club. I feel like I am on Pluto and would really like to get more personally involved and informed about this black sedan I bought. Thanks for your help!

Thanks, Mark. I'm still learning how to use the site. I will keep a look out for threads relating to meets. Mileage was great until I got sucked into Jupiter's gravity. Do you guys get together at any other times, or do any members have impromptu meetings?

Hey guys, Bob J. here. Would someone in the Balt/Wash area get back to me with some information about CAM or the Northeast club.
Bob, if you have some specific questions on the Capitol Area Marauders (CAM) just send me or one of the other members a PM. :D
CAM tries to meet monthly. Check in the forums section and scroll on down to the "North East Marauders" forum. That's where you will find the posts for the current and past CAM meets. Titles normally start with the month like "July CAM Meet" as in Mark's post.
CAM has no formal membership requirements or structure. Just show up and you're in. Roughly speaking, CAM has about 25 members give or take drawing from Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. The Big Bat's sports bar location on Kent Island in Stevensville was selected since it was about center-of-mass for the members. However, the next gathering is planned for the Air and Space Museum near Dulles Airport. No specific date selected yet.
Hope to see you around at one of the meets ... PS, I get up to the Baltimore area every so often and still have family living in the Middle River, Pasadena and Severna Park areas.

How soon we forget about the tough initiation requirements.
1) The Gaunlet of Klingon pain sticks
2) You must find a shrubbery, one that is not too small or too big.
3) You must cut down the largest tree in the forest with a herring.
4) Sing the theme song to 'Gilligan's Island'.
5) Recite the 'Battle Hymn of the Republic', backwards.
6) Buy a round of drinks for every CAM member in attendance.

Good, no Klingon sticks! As for the rest, no problem. Starting with #6, I have no problem buying copious rounds of locally brewed beer for my new friends, but I draw the line at anything "frost brewed" "shipped fresh" "born on ...." "cold filtered"(all beer is cold filtered), "made only with the purest mountain spring water" you get the point. #5, on marching is God Our !Hallelujah !Glory !Glory. on marching is God Our, slave His wrong of soul the and , footstool His be shall world the So ;brave the to honor is He, mighty the to wisdom is He, ,wave the on morning the of glory the like coming is He. Whew!!! #4 The song is no problem but, Mary Ann or Ginger, or for those senior members, perhaps Mrs. Howell? #3 I'll get back you on that one. #2 How about one that is just average? And #1 no longer applies, so I will drop and give you 50! Talk to you all soon, Bob.

Thanks for the votes, and it hasn't cost me anything yet! I never home brewed, but I do have a degree in brewing technology. I brewed for Oxford Brewing in their heyday and DuClaw in Bel Air. I won a couple of awards in the process. I am not a complete beer geek, but I do enjoy a hearty amount of barley and hops. I look forward to meeting you guys and learning how to drop large amounts of cash into my large black sedan! Cheers, Bob.

Boy, I don't remember any of that stuff. Perhaps it was the 9 flagons of Heffe-weissen they made me drink before the Klingon wachacallit sticks, part.
That darned Mark kept saying, "only three more to go"; "one for each member in attendance".
Lucky for me, Rich Long and the convoy from Long Island got stuck in the Bay Bridge traffic, and were late.

There may be a small drawback at the Brewery. They only have a small tasting room and no restaurant there. How about a meet in Baltimore at the Red Brick Station BrewPub? I am good friends with the owner, and he would take great care of us. Our own banquet room, own servers, etc.. Also, Mike the Brewer there makes the best English style ales in the country, again just my opinion. Also, there are acres of parking lots across the street at the White Marsh Mall. Just thought I would put my .02 in. Let me know how this sounds. Thanks, Bob
