On my way back from dinner I was behind some 2000+ Mitsubishi Eclipse/Spyder? It was a convertible. He had the typical huge loud hollow sounding exhaust. Couldn't tell what else he had. He didn't sound like he did anything to it, like add a turbo. Anyway, he was zipping in and out of traffic revving his engine at the lights. I pulled next to him at one light and just sat there. I didn't really want to start the competition thing. I just wanted to see if I could keep up with him. The light turned green and he didn't move. We sat there for about two seconds and he finally shifted badly and pulled away. I then floored it to see how close I can stay. Through first and second I kept up with him. When I hit 65-70, the car just pulled him in and I past him easily. Thanks to the new tune. I love the way it shifts now. Ended up with 3 car lengths on him. I could still hear him trying to get every ounce of power outta that four banger. I eventually let up. Took him away to catch back up. :D

Now I got a taste of what you guys get with the big boys.

Unfortunately, I fall to my instincts when I haven't autocrossed in awhile. :help: I really really try not to do this at all during the year. I resisted earlier today when I saw a 1994-1996 Burgundy Impala on the Turnpike. That one I just avoided because I was just plain afraid. :o Twice in one night is too tempting. ;) I promise to be good till July 29th which is autocross day. :D

I just love fart pipes. Most are all show and no go. :burnout:
