Has anyone used these whether it was on a Marauder or on a Mustang? How did it sound? What was the HP & TQ increase and how was it? Dyno proven or seat of the pants?

Thinking about going with Bassani's mid length headers and having a shop fab up the rest. IF the prochamber is good I' was gonna go with it. If not an X-pipe will be the ticket.

Thanks for the help.

We took them off of merc (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/member.php?u=238) 's Marauder a few weeks ago, and replaced them with Magnaflows...PM him for his thoughts.

The sound is good, but the drone was loud. As far as HP and TQ I don't have a Dyno sheet to compair the two products side by side. Like Taf said " Shot me a PM or e-mail.

How could anything, downstream of a header, that looks like it could possibly
introduce turbulence, be remotely considered as a better idea ???

That's why the H-Pipe is there for the Stock Exhaust and
the X-Pipe is for the upgraded exhaust.

Do you have a cross ection of this X-Pipe muffler/resonator,
so we can see the internal flow path?
If it has any bends or just open space, its going to kill
all of the momentum the exhaust gasses have
prior to entering this X-pipe...

I'm with you, I don't see how it could work but that's their version of an X-pipe. I was just asking a question. Lately it seems if you go out of the norm for Marauders it's considered heresey.

I've heard some negative stories about MAC exhaust products in terms of quality. Cat back system that don't fit up, h-pipes that don't quite fit, etc. I've also seem to have read that there are better options than the MAC mufflers in terms of flow qualty and sound quality. Personally I would say Magnaflow will have something high quality and with a fiar number of sound choices to choose from.

I'm not bashing MAC as I've yet to use any of their products personally, but I'm merely stating a fact that I've read a number of negative stories about their fit and finish.

As far as mufflers goes Magnaflow all the way, I have a DI/DO on my truck and that mother screams. Now as far as X-pipes go a Dr. GasX is what I'll use.
