Just to give you guys a heads up...

I visited my local Costo Tire Center today.
The BFG g-F T/A 235/50WR18 97W tire is $138 + $2.50 (disposal) + Sales Tax.
This INCLUDES...
Mount
Balance
5YR Defect/Hazard Warranty - no mileage
(Since the tires cannot be normally rotated)

This was the lowest installed price I could find today.
The tires have to be prepaid ordered, and they will take
5 - 10 business days to arrive.
Once they are there, you get a phone call to come in and get them put on.

Then you can go to the shop of your choice for a wheel alignment.

The nice thing about their shops are that they are wide open
and you can watch the whole process.
They have a touchless mounting machine that grabs the wheel
from the inside and puts pressure on the tire to dismount the bead.
The only thing they don't have is the Hunter Road Force balance machine,
but the Manager there says they have never had a need for it.
"If you get a tire that has a shimmy in it and we can't balance it out,
we'll just order you a replacement, until we get a tire that's perfect."

Only .93 shorter that the front, that's not a bad match. But, the sidewall is .46 shorter than the front, which may not be noticable, have to wait and see. Load rating is only 97, 1609 pounds.

They were always Stock Front tires.
The only thing I did edit was the thread title to add the word FRONT...

I'll be looking at a new set of tires soon and was wonderinging I put the 255's all round, will I need to make any changes with my xCalibrator? I remember reading that it may throw off the anti-lock sensors but don't know if this is true. Also, do you know if Costco stocks or will order the BFG KDW2 ( did I get that designation right ?).

It won't throw off the AntiLock Brakes, but it WILL
throw off the Traction Control if you are equipped with it.
There is NOTHING an Xcalibrator can do for that.

BTW, I went and ordered the front tires today.
The price is now a FIRM $136/tire.

WOO HOO !!!

COSTCO Can and WILL order any tire that you want that is not in stock
as long as you are willing to wait the 5 - 10 business days for the tires.
