Has anyone ran their MM with only a programmer/chip and stock gears? I've surfed through a bunch of time slips and not finding anyone that did. Thanks.

And a nice job Smokie did representing us too, Javier. Bravo! Thanks Sarge, I said from the beginning that we can enjoy our cars with modest low cost mods and have a good time at the track.:D

How soon we forget. Sorry to correct you but now I hold that record... LINK (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=16819&highlight=14.455)Correct what? Read the question, then read my answer. The question is "Who ran?" My answer is " I did". My link goes to timeslips, they make no claims, simply state facts.

Duplicating best times is not done in these temps.80s'* & 90's*+
At least I have not gotten close to 14.1 since April.
Still is excellent, for a simple non evasive relatively inexpen$ive mod!

That's almost a full second quicker than my (purestock) MM @ 85 degrees. I ordered the $399 Xcalibrator Flash Tuner from Alternative Auto yesterday. I would be very pleased if it ran 15.0 with the new flashtuner.

I ran a 15.1 last year at Indy with just the SCT 1725 tuner. It was well into 80s and humid out.

Check # 50 in the time sheet forum. My Marauder is a 2003 300B with T/C---but with all the 300A goodies. It is ABSOLUTELY STOCK except a Dennis Reinhart FLASH--Temp was about 75 if I remember correctly. I made 3 runs, all under 15 sec. Enjoy your Marauder, Maury
Oh yes, the car was not stripped, had over a 1/2 tank and I weigh 245 #

I don't understand why my MM "stone stock" is the slowest one made as my right foot is very heavy. Must have been made on a Friday? By beer drinking & hung-over Canucks, eh? That tuner combined with my heavy right foot should put me into the 14's!! It COULD happen. On a cold day? Maybe? :pimp: Maybe one of those subwoofer foam covers under the package-tray got stuffed in my air intake! Some beer-swilling Canuck was mad at his bossman, Eh? :puke:

Stone stock I was doing 14.935 on a humid night about 80 deg.
I credit the good time to my break-in procedure. "Dropped" the oil at 1500, again at 3000 and then at 5000 I did the LOF at the dealership to affix the seal on the warranty book, well you know.
I'm a big fan of fluid changes and often at that. I'm past due for a drain-and-fill for my coolant now that I come to think about it.
