I know alot of you have installed the trilogy supercharger. Do you drive your MM everyday i just dont see spending 6000.00 dollars on a supercharger. For one thing i couldnt afford one. And mine is drivin everyday i just dont see how your transmission would last and your rearend with all that extra power. I know im going to make alot of you mad with this post but 6000.00 for a supercharger. I can save you money buy a 89 mercury Grand Mark for 1500 dollars and drive it back and forth to work. And when you drive the MM it feels let your driveing something supercharge.

Welcome to the site! As the saying goes, "with great power comes great responsibility". If I had the money, I'd get a S/C in a heartbeat. There are a few members that daily driver their MM, BillyGman comes to mind. Mine's a DD as well, but not S/C. Actually, for $1500 you could do an ECU reflash, gears and a cold air intake and really wake up your car.

If you're really interested, PM some S/C'd members on their opinions, or do a search. S/C's can be a touchy subject in here.

A super charger is something you buy because is what you want and you are able to afford it. If you don't want it, don't buy it....if you cannot afford it, don't buy it.

If you do buy it, it will transform your car into something truly special....words don't do it justice.:D

I store my MM in the winter, and drive only on clear days in the "Maraudering" season. It was supercharged at about 1500 miles and has about 15,500 spirited miles today with ZERO problems. As for the cost, well, I'm sure if you were under different financial circumstances, and experienced the joy of an sc'd MM (provided you were interested in performance to begin with) you'd value it differently. Maybe if you drove your 89 Merc for a few years you could save YOURSELF some money, and supercharging wouldn't be such an unthinkable option. ;)

Go for a ride in a s/c'd car, then you'll understand.

If these are truly your views on this subject, nothing anyone else says should matter. Enjoy your car in whatever way you see fit!!:)

Just don't ever go for a ride in a Trilogy car...:D

I agree, I am an N/A guy. I would spend the 6000$ on making my engine and trans handle a 3 stage nitrous kit with a 450, 400 & 350 shot, so when I needed that speed it was only a push button away.

And then when you really needed that extra power the bottle is empty. Supercharged power is always ready.

Good question. I wonder if Orville Wright would have the same opinion if you would handle him the keys of an F16 ?LOL....:baaa: :baaa: :baaa: A very good analogy........ Do what you want with your car my friend. The choice is yours. But don't ever go for a ride in a supercharged Marauder, cuz like it's been already implied, your mind will change drastically.

As for me, I DO drive my SUPERCHARGED Marauder to work and back EVERY day and even in the snow, and it's great, and perfectly dependable and streetable on 93 octane pump gas. This car does it all. Out of state trips, dragstrip runs twice a year, and my daily commute 12 months out of the year. There's no standard factory stock Vette nor Camaro SS, nor GTO, nor Trans-AM that can keep up with it, and it carries five passengers when I want it to, and gets about 17 MPG on the highway too. How can you beat that combo?

I have 31,000 miles on it now, and 20,000 of those miles have been supercharged ones. And there's been no problems with the rear end, transmission, nor anything yet.
