Hey all,
I'm interested in this vehicle, but I've seen some posts here that stated a possible issue with the VIN ? Red Flags ?
Does anyone have a carfax that can help me out ?
I think the car has been there for awhile ?

My brother has driven the car since he lives in TX. He says its clean, but does have a few door dings (mmmph).

Anyway, if any can give me information, I'd appreciate it. I'm seeing that new are going for Upper 20s, so I'm trying for used in lower 20s...but not much luck so far.

Any Comments ?
:help:

It's not clear to me what car you are asking about here. Your post seems to say that you are considering buying a specific MM posted somewhere on the 'net, but you don't include a link to that post. If you can fix this, we may be able to help out with things like Carfax, VINs, and red flags.

New car prices continue to drop, I just spoke with a dealership in Kansas City MO, that will deliver a brand new MM (300A) out the door for 24,188.57 in cash. if you can handle the financing on your own, and get yourself to KC-MO, this is the best deal I've seen to date.

As for CarFax, it's a great service, but it operates on shipping, service and insurance loss reports. There are not that many MMs out there yet, needing major reairs, or suffering flood damage, to offer an accurate CarFax profile. You'll probably get a "no reports" on your specific MM VIN, unless it was a major rebuild, or, a repo.

Seems to me, for a few K more, just get the new one. Then you'll know about all the use/misuse/abuse on it from day one. With interest rates and all figured in, a new model may be cheaper per month, and possibly overall than a used one.

Carfax requires payment to use. So I THINK he's looking for someone who has a Carfax "account" that would help him in looking up the history of this car.

Hi,
Yes, I was hoping someone with a carfax account could help me on this one; However, if there are NEW MMs for $24k ?

What dealership was this ? I'd have to get shipped, but the price is sure worth it...

Thanks !

Go to www.carfax.com
Spend the $14.99 enter the VIN and your done.
Carfax has its limitations.......it only reports what has been reported.

Right off the top, Rob, I have to remind you that if you attempt to change any details of the deal, it's an open door for markups and salesman potholes, and this guy is good at his trade. However, if you can show up at his door with a certified check for 24,188.57, you'll drive home in a new 300A MM. Once you mention add-ons and shipping charges, this deal may not number out. Take a day off, take a drive to KC...it may be worth it.

I don't know the site policy about referals like this may be, so, I'll e-mail you the details.
