I have recently purchased Underbody valet lighting from Marauderconcepts.com, the kit is made of top quality equipment and very impressive for the price. The installation is easy if you follow the well documented insructions provided with the kit. Feel free to PM me with any ?.
Shakes26, Marc, you have put together a nice product Thanks.

this kit is on my list of "Stuff I really want for the car" :DWhy wait? Shakes [Marc] is great guy with an excellent vendor reputation. I've seen this mod installed and it looks great. Much higher quality than the factory set-up IMO.

Its one of the best functional Mods that you can do to the car. Not in anyway ricer either. If you able to afford it, I'd suggest you get it. I can already see some people on their back at MVIII installing this under their cars.

I have it and it is a very nice kit, but I feel like a total dumba$$ on the install. I'm going to start slow and see how it goes. I am unclear on if I have to remove the drivers side kick panel. I hope not, as I have a heavily modified KB dead pedal there, and removing that panel know would be a real pain.

I have had nice offers of help by folks here though, so may take some of you up on that if I run into trouble. I'm OK till I get to the drivers sides harness wiring, and then get a bit unsure there.

Thanks,

Norm

If you cannot remove the kickplate you can try to pull the carpet back to get to the rubber grommet for the wire to pass thru, you can try to hide your wires under the carpet. and install the harness above the foot pedals.

Norm,

You could probably bypass pullign the drivers kickplate, it jsut makes it easier to install. If you can fish the wires down behind it you'll be okay.

As far as the carpet, with the seat all the way back, and the sill plate out, you should be able to 'pop' the carpet up enough to reach the rubber grommet. Again, you simply get more clearance with the kick plate out. but its not totally necessary.

PM me or email support@marauderconcepts.com I check that quite often.

marc

What he said, The only wires that need to pass thru that area are the 2' red and white.
If needed use a wire coat hanger, cut it and use it to push undercarpet from kickplate to foot pedels, tape red and white wires to end and pull back under carpet.

Thanks very much for the info. The original KB dead pedal installed, but when I removed it to modify it the bolts would not come out, and I ended up having to grind it off, refinish it, mount new offset nuts, and then order a new kickplate. Now it fits me much better.

I think I could get it off if I worked carefully, and will keep that option open, but I'll try your suggestions first.

Thanks again,

Norm

Also dont worry if you get the carpet pulled out from under the kick palte, use a wide balde putty knife (with masking tape over the end) to tuck the carpet back up under there.

Ho Ho Ho... what ever happened to never seize...??? Ya gotta use it even if you think you will never have to take something apart again...especially thru the floor pan or any other place where moisture might get.
