In light of the AFL-CIO debacle, I can see a big "Ditch the Unions" coming and Ford may try to test the waters first. Not that I mind, because I've never been for the unions. Blood suckers...

Dayum ... the wife has been looking real hard at the Freestyle !!! :( What a shame that it is already announced for cancellation. Can't blame 'em for trimming the public relations departments based on their apparent performance over the past several years. :rolleyes:

After buying the Marauder and being shunned by the service Departments

of three dealers...I'm sure they can make all the different models they
want but if the customer service and the warranties don't back up
what they're selling..Who the hell is going to buy another one...
I know it will be in the back of my mind when i go looking for another
car..and it is the one thing I regret about buying the Marauder..

If the Big three don't get it soon,They'll have the best Union busting

The Big 3 aren't directly responsible for your service, yet.
They have no kind of incentive program in place, for the dealership to benefit from,
by treating you in a fashion that you would expect.

If they were to say, increase the pay rate for warranty repairs,
if customer surveys came back with more than an 80% rating,
over a 3 month period, it could help.
And put another boost on that rate, with possibly an additional discount tier on parts
if the customer satisfaction rating was sustained at the same level or better for an extended period,
you might see a change in the attitude of your service and parts people.
But only if the Dealership ownership were to share these saving with the employees
in the way of contests or bonuses.
People need to be recognized for thie excellence, in order for them to continually give
that same level of excellence day after day.

The only exception to the rule is a person by the name of Ray G. (TheDealer)
Ray is naturally excellent.

We won't get into the union debate here. Most that don't like the union never came from the union or understand the union. Being a member of the UAW since 1983 I will not let you slame my union.

I kinda liked the Freestyle as a replacement for the Villager mini van.

If dealers are left holding the bag for Ford

products,I wouldn't want to repair warranty claims
either--if Ford doesn't pay to repair Ford Products..
Who can blame them?? If you pay a large sum for
a vehicle a certain amount of service should be expected
I believe in supporting the local economy..I have three fords
in my driveway..but instances like having to replace the intake
manifold on my Grand Marquis when fleet vehicles where replaced
N/C. Tell me Ford does not want to take care of loyal customers...
The dealers treatment of customers is a reflection of ford policies..
I Have presently recieved some good service from Jerry the Service
Manager at Oakland ford..Oakville,Ontario Canada..If it wasn't for
customer Focused individuals Like Ray and Jerry I'm sure ford would be
in worse shape than it is :o

We won't get into the union debate here. Most that don't like the union never came from the union or understand the union. Being a member of the UAW since 1983 I will not let you slame my union.
Just as background, I worked for John Deere so I'm not just guessing. I stand by my previous statement.

We can start a new thread on it, after which we can then move smoothly into a Religion thread and then a Solve All the Worlds Problems thread.

I have to say I have no complaints about Jarrett Ford-Linc-Merc dealerships
here in Florida. I have had great service from two of their places. One
in Dade City and the other in Plant City.....Sales Rep Bill Jones and
Manager Ned Brown have been great with me.....:beer:
