I'm in the market for a long overhead console. Anyone that may have had a moonroof installed and has one to sell please let me know.

Is there any way to get rid of one and make it look good? I would love to move the mirror up to the top.

Is there any way to get rid of one and make it look good? I would love to move the mirror up to the top.I think you would end up with the mounting holes always showing. That's why I was hoping someone that had a moon roof installed held on to thiers.

Whem an aftermarket moonroof is installed, the stock (long) overhead console is used, but is cut down and permannently altered. And, by the way, teh overhead consoles are like 500 bucks or so. :eek:

Try this site: www.car-part.com . You could even use GM and CV too. They may not list or show this one in particular, but just by getting the phone numbers to some of the places that have them for parts, you might get lucky.

Couldn't you replace the headliner with a non overhead liner?

Yeah but I have the homelink and compass electronics so I would just need the plastic parts and the rear lamp. I would think that would be cheaper unless ford won't sell it that way.

You can get an aftermarket headliner and it shouldn't have any holes.
It will also save you a bunch of money.

Marty,

My Marauder came with the short OH Console, and its designed for the roofless Marauders.
I've had the roof isntalled since then.

If I switch the console for the FORD Roof console, witll the FORD Switch work
with the ASC roof, or should I stop dreaming ?
