Jet Performance

What do you guys think of Jet Performance Chips? I don't know if any of you have one but to me they seem like one of the lesser known brands out there. Do you think the Marauder would benefit from their chip?

I bought a Jet chip for my Marauder before I ever did anything else to it, but I decided to avoid using it, and instead went with a chip from one of the vendors here because I heard bad things about the jet chips. I heard about guys blowing their engines from using them. I cannot neccessarily validate those claims though. Someone from this board purchased that chip from me for his Marauder even though I made it clear to him why I didn't want to use it myself. I forget who it was though, so perhaps he will see this thread and chime in.

noooooooooo this is a piece of crap. it made my car go slower and I had to replace my keys to make the car start again! It wouldn't run faster then a 15.6 and with it out it ran 15.3's all the time. Stay away from this! Go with a superchips micro tuner. Don't even bother with jet and save the frustration. :mad2:

Lidio of Alternative Auto (another vendor on this site who has his own forum) also has them (I'm not talking about the Jet chips) and Lidio is an expert engine tuner.

My wifes car (2003 Grand Marquis) has one from when we got it from my brother in law (jet chip) and quite frankly it sucks. I have a superchips max micro tuner and it is night and day the results give you. Stay with superchips or diablo sport and you will do fine....
