Since we all like reading about the war stories of the road I figured Ill Start this thread where you post your Kills and loses for each week. If it dont take off, Then What the Hell, Im just trying to make it interesting here!!

This week Was a 05 Nissan Titan V-8 and a 2000 Caddilac Eldorado ETC, The Titan held on for about 3/4 of First gear, then I Started pulling and ended up 4 cars(or Truck) lengths ahead before he let off and pulled in behind me, I guess to hide his shame of losing! lol The Caddy didnt Hold on at all, He caught me sleeping at the light, But that didnt Help! I mashed the gas and went by him, ending the race with a 6 car length lead (and still pulling)
Thats my war stories for the week.

Add this to the Lose Column, After I defeated My friends 94 T-Bird SC, He took out his 87 Mustang Convertable with minor performance bolt-ons. I was in front of him cruising at about 40 mph, with him behind me about a car lengths away, I Put the hammer down, My Marauder dropped into 2nd for a second then hit third and I pulled 4 cars lengths away, He then put his hammer down, and before I hit 100 he was passing me and pulling front of me. He Avenged His SC! :alone:

Live to fight Another day!

Nothing beats catching up to a 145MPH MM in a 1992 GM with a CVPI PCM and HPP.

(Instert prudish/condescending post about illegal street racing here.) :)

I was at my "private track" on Friday night (one of many I own locally - it's good to be a real estate investor) and I noticed a 90's model Mercury Cougar tailing me. This wasn't even a contest but the guy looked like he thought he could take me and I wanted to give him a chance to see.

With a nice sweeping corner coming up I opened up a little space in front of him by making a couple of nice, smooth passes with the existing "lap" traffic. As I exited the corner he was entering the corner so I slowed down a bit and kept my eye on the side view mirror. He rolled up on my pretty fast and I nailed it. He manage to nose his front tire to my front bumper before I pulled away like he wasn't moving. After I pulled a few cars lengths in front I slowed again only this time I better estimated his roll on speed and he never got in front of my drivers door. I did it one more time before pulling off an exit, err, I mean on to pit road. :)

I knew that he knew he got spanked when I was pulling on to the pit road. I looked over at him and he wouldn't even look my way. Between that and it being audiblu obvious by my Koooks exhaust note when I was on or off the gas and he had to know.

Poor punk. Didn't even have the cajones to make it friendly.

Best,

Dan

I don't have stories to tell every week, because it isn't all the time that the traffic is sparse enough for me to really open it up good. But I did emerge victorious over three cars inside of two days this past week,(which is unusual to get that many opportunities without very much traffic around, within a two day period). The conditions were right. The first was this really loud 5.0L Mustang which definately had open headers. Did I mention that it was LOUD!??? Well, that it certainly was. He was right on side of me and we were traveling at 60 MPH, and he was looking right at me. When we came to a nice long open straight I hit my signal and moved over into the righthand lane, then made sure my signal was off, clicked off the O/D button, and hammered it for a half second and let right off just to let him know this is it.....

So with that I heard his insanely loud open headers kick in hard as he began to go by me in the lefthand lane.....but then suddenly, I heard that "Enter Sandman" music going off in my head, an bingo I hit the gas hard, and just as the the line in the "Smokey and the Bandit" movie goes....it was... "Bye Bye Baby" :D

However, little did I know that there were two of my co-workers behind us watching all of this as it unfolded, and anticipating it from the very moment that this LOUD Mustang got on side of me (I found all of that out the next day at work). And one of these two co-workers of mine happens to have an Interga in which he's spent a good amount of cash rebuilding the bottom end of the engine (if that's what you want to call his 1.8L blender) with forged internals, and a rather elaborate turbocharger kit which churns out 12 PSI of boost and 320 HP to the front wheels. But he didn't have his Integra that night. He was behind us in his daily driver car.

So after being a witness to my victory over that ferociously loud Mustang, the next day at work this guy all of a sudden brings his prized posession 2,600 LB Turbocharged Integra to work with him which is something he rarely does since it isn't a daily driver. (atleast not for him anyway). And he wants to go at it with me in the wee hours of a weekday morning on the highway while there's no traffic. And his buddy who has a new and slightly modified Turbocharged Volkswagon GTI wants a piece of me too.

Well I've already posted the results of those runs, so for those who are interested, you can read about those via this link below....

Thanks for the compliment about my posts. It's nice when fellow BBS users make comments like the one you made. I try to keep my BBS time light and I like to make people happy so I doubly appreciate your comment.

I like the "private tracks", too. It took a lot of money to get them but now that I have them I can to all of the LEGAL street racing I want. After all, I own the street (track), right? :)

As far as my comment about wanting to be able to delete posts... I said the because I had made a post that I wanted to remove. When I went to remove it I saw that I couldn't. I then went to erase all of the content. When I went to do that I saw that I couldn't, again. That being the case I made the comment that I made.

I hope that explains it. :)

This past Saturday after a fun filled evening at a local car show with Embassy and meeting Mongoose for the first time, I embark on my 15 mile ride to the house. Most of the distance is expressway minus the last 5 miles, which is a 4 lane private track with a raised grass median and a hell of a lot of traffic, er staging lanes.

I chose the left lane and a mid 90’s Cadillac is in the right. I had noticed this guy can cut a light pretty well jumping ahead of the car in front of me every time. This went on for about 3 lights when the guy in front turns off to the left.

The next staging light yellows and the Caddy throws out the anchor. I follow suit allowing myself next to him. Confident of his light cutting ability, he gives me a grin and looks straight ahead.

Cockpit review, . .

OD Off -> Check.

T/C Off -> Check.

Climate Control Off -> Check.

Left Foot on Brake -> Check.

Right Foot on Loud Pedal -> Check.

Stereo Volume Off -> Check.

Mirrors All Clear -> Check.;)

The light turns green and the Caddy jumps 2 cars ahead. :eek:

It’s on! :burnout: :burnout:

Smashing the loud pedal to the floor, the MM roars to life breathing all the air that JLT’s RAI can provide. :D

The SCT Tuner following thru with Lidio’s hidden magic. :D

5,000 RPM the Caddy is now one car length ahead.:banana2:

5,800 RPM and gaining on the Caddy and ½ length behind.:banana2:

6,200 RPM and a hard 1 – 2 shift :burn: lunging ahead of my opponent while staying on the loud pedal for a few additional seconds.

Race over.

MM = #1

Caddy = Loser!

Mike.

It seems like the only cars that want to race me are the kids in their stupid rice burners. After I defeated the first dozen, by a great margin, I realized that all I was doing was wasting my gas and killing their pride. When will the owners of these stupid little cars learn that a loud muffler, a silly paint job and a ridiculous oversize wing does not make your car go faster.

And Yet Another Kill for me. Some Meathead in a 2000-Present Monte Carlo LS. Yes LS!! 3.4L Boat Anchor, Decided that Since His Car Is Used in NASCAR that it must be Fast! Well He Lined himself up next to me at a light on the Service Road of the Long Island Expressway, Then he gave a rev! OK Thats the Universal signal of "Prepare for combat" However, Knowing that this a 3.4, I choose not to turn off my A/C or even spool up my Torque converter. Well Light went Green, I Gave him the Light, The Jump and The Go. I let him get about 2 car lengths before I unleashed Hell and Chased him Down. Before I hit 2nd gear Im already a fender ahead, By the time I hit third I have him by a full 4 Cars and still pulling. I took it up to about 90mph That I even managed to make the Green light up ahead, He lagged so far behind, It turned Red and he Had to stop So I never got to see his reaction. Needless to Say, This was a waste of Gas and it was like Picking on a Little Kid, However, He Started it! So I felt the need to finish it! :flamer:

I guess he thought that the big #3 on the side of his car added a bunch of HP.:rolleyes: I'm talking about the ones with all that ugly plastic ground effects all around it that makes them look like an amusement park bumper car, and those ugly tail light lenses that look like they belong on a spaceship or something. (now watch someone read this who owns one of those, and will get all offended.....I just have a knack for trouble I guess).

Anyway, it was faster than I thought, but it was still no contest. Why can't some people figure it out that by GM slapping a big "SS" symbol on a 6 cylinder equipped car, that still won't make it move like it had a V8 under the hood.

Was on the way to Wal-Mart and I'm at a traffic light behind a Tiburon who's next to a riced out Chrylser Cirrus at the line. So they're both bumping and thumping and jumping all over in the car (couldn't help but laugh). The light turns green and the Tiburon takes the Cirrus off the line just far enough for a 4500 lb 4-door to get around, so I took advantage of the situation and spanked the 2 of them. The wife looks over at them just as the Cirrus driver crapped himself and said WTF was that? Of course the Cirrus had to play catch up and try again from a roll, and once again was spanked.

Here's the funny part we stop at a traffic light he's next to me and says "That car is sweet DAWG, cause I was gettin on it YO". As he's giving me the Gansta Rap language lesson his buddy in the passenger seat was trying to climb in the back seat asking "YO is that supercharged?" I just smiled spooled up and took off :burnout:

Heading home this Morning, Im on the Cross Island Expressway and a Lexus GS300 maybe late 90's model and a 2000 Nissan Maxima Caught my eye cutting in and out of traffic closing in on me (Im doing 65mph). We get up to the Bayside Marina area and there is rather heavy traffic so we are all slowed down to about 45mph, I have the maxima behind me and the lexus is to my right. Finally Traffic breaks up and we start moving back to speed. Just after the Throggs neck bridge, the Cross Island opens up to 3 lanes that are a straight shot for 4 miles til you see the whitestone bridge then it Drops to 2 lanes and there is a hairy Curve before it straightens out again, Well I see the Maxima Step out from behind me and notice the Lexus is starting to gain from the far Right, I figure, LET'S GO! I kick the OD out,and Drop the Hammer! The Maxima Got as far 2 car lengths ahead and the lexus reached my Front fender before My MM Kicked Down, Well I easliy pulled away from the Lexus and put a 3 car Gap in between us and Was Quickly running down the Maxima. I managed to get up to 130MPH before I let off (I was the clear winner) At that point I was 6 car lengths ahead of the Maxima and pulling, The Lexus was at least a 1/4 mile behind.

Nothing like a Blast at 130MPH to start your morning!!

Ok, it was probably due to my previous post, that I have not had an opportunity to lay a smackdown, on some stranger I randomly encounter.

Leaving the shopping mall cruzin down to the private track.
Mr. Charcoal gray '99-'04 Mustang Gt (nice rims) pulls out hard, one car behind me.He is alone in his car.
Following through the school zone, I was keeping the speed, a annoying 5mph under .
Finally to the track:
I put my left turn signal on and peered into the mirror to see if the "party" was playing.No blinking light on his left signal, was I going to be denyed? Nope!, He's there, ... Game on!
It did not take long after I picked the outside lane and backed off the throttle, I heard the Unmistakable roar of after market exhaust firing up my Azz.
By the Time I layed into the go faster pedal, he had been into it for a two count, he shot past me, by an easy 3-4 carlengths and lovin it!.
I was saddled with a Trunk full of groceries almost 3/4 tank of gas and two passengers.From a 30-40 mph roll, no 1st gear downshift,2nd gear and pegged,
It took me all the way to third to eventually over take Mr. Mustang.
As we had caught up to traffic by then.The Mighty Merc + Trilogy came through.:sunshine:
I had to gleem over, to cash in on my efforts and was delighted to recieve a wide grin and a big thumbs up from a good sport.
It was well worth the wait! :D
