Car and Driver Magazine declares Kenny Brown Marauder S
An “Outta The Park Home Run”

Indianapolis, IN – Kenny Brown Performance. When many of you hear the words -- Car and Driver and Kenny Brown in the same sentence you automatically think “Lounge Lizard”, November 1998. Afterall, it is probably the second most popular editorial piece to ever grace the pages of the automotive icon we know as Car and Driver magazine. Second of course to the debut of the original Shelby Cobra in the 1960’s.

The collaborative effort between Kenny Brown and Car and Driver had not only created a new buzz about Ford’s beloved four-door sedan, but also spawned a new generation of high-performance specialty vehicles for the famed Mustang tuner. The car that most of you now affectionately know as the “Panther”.

That was then and this is now, but one thing is for sure, the “Lounge Lizard” is something that is still very fresh in the minds of the Car and Driver editorial staff. When they found out that Kenny was building his next super-sedan based on the Mercury Marauder, not even Csaba Csere’s birthday fund was safe (referenced from Cari & Driver’s Lounge Lizard article http://www.kennybrown.com/News/LoungeLizard.html. They had to get their hands on it at all costs. The “Lounge Lizard” still being fresh in Kenny’s mind, he promptly agreed to hand over the keys to what he knew would set a new standard for the baddest, fastest, full-size American sedan in the land.

Enough of the mushy stuff and on to the meat and potatoes – if you have not seen the article yet, that’s because it just came out http://www.kennybrown.com/MarauderSinCandD.html. What it says, you have to read for yourself. The April issue of Car and Driver magazine is hitting the stands as we speak. Although it’s not as masterful an editorial piece as the “Lounge Lizard”, it is more than favorable. In fact the opening headline reads “Ford lobs one into the aftermarket, and Kenny Brown hits it outta the park”.

Kenny Brown, when asked about his new car, states - “The Marauder-S that I developed, has gutsy performance, style, poise and punch -- plenty of punch. It’s extremely fast with confident handling and big brakes. This is the kind of car that real car guys lust after. You can drive the Marauder-S to the store or cross-country and blend in with the landscape, but when that 7-Series BMW rolls up next to you at the tollbooth -- He’s toast! It’s like shooting fish in a barrel. ‘Hey Hans, this is what the back of a Marauder looks like!” This is my kind of car”.

What does Car and Driver say? They say, “It’s fitting that Brown is the orchestrator of this Marauder transformation. The results are staggering. The sprint to 60 mph…three seconds quicker than the stock Marauder. Right about the time the factory car hits 100 mph, Brown’s car is doing 130. We haven’t tested a less-expensive full-size four-door sedan that can outrun Kenny’s Marauder…It’s one bad mutha”.

Just wait till you see the next mysterious thing Kenny has planned for the Marauder S – Let’s just say it will be worth the wait.
