Joe, I'm deeply sorry for your loss. I lost my mother in November and my father last June; I feel your pain. A day doesn't go by that I don't think about them and miss both. My prayers go out to you and your family. Stay strong dude.

I'm sorry to hear of that Joe. As far as the piper, I can relate to that, because my Dad arranged to have one play at my mother's funeral too. I must confess that when I first heard that he was going to do that, I thought that it would be tacky, tastless, or out of place to have a bagpiper play at someone's funeral service. But I was surprised at how tremedously tastfull and touching it was to have him there at the funeral playing for a small part of the service. I felt that it payed honor, and was a tribute to my mom who had passed away. It served to be a musical salute to her, and during the time that the piper was playing, I couldn't help but to reflect on my fond memories of her. It was simply fantastic, and I had strongly doubted that it ever would be. :bagpipe3: :up:
