Called Dennis Friday night at 7:00 p.m. for a part I needed (a back up water pump - just in case while I am at Bristol....). Part arrived Monday as promised.

Can't beat that, now can ya?

Nope...Dennis has been very helpful to me in many situations over the years, despite the fact that my MM sports a competing vendor's supercharger treatment. Business is business, and friends are friends. Nice when you can have both.

Thank you again, Dennis.

While you were ordering parts for Bristol you should have purchased a umbrella and a crew tent. I need to find a rolling bed so I could rest between, track brake downs, rain delays, and the V.A. make up rounds.

Aug 5 Friday
Partly cloudy, chance of a thunderstorm. Highs in the upper 80s and lows in the upper 60s.

Aug 6 Saturday
Scattered thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 80s and lows in the upper 60s.

Aug 7 Sunday
A few thunderstorms possible. Highs in the mid 80s and lows in the upper 60s.

I hope they own a jet dryer. In Richmond we sat for 5 hours before the officials called the event off. That's why there is a make up day for the Virginia cars on Saturday.

Bristol/Virginia

This is a run down of how the two races will be held in Bristol. FRIDAY qualifying will be a qualfying round for Bristol. In MM, TT and OC it will count toward both events as far as indexes are concerned. Saturday morning will be a normal Saturday morning. Time trials will be open to everybody except True Street cars. Now secound round of Qualifying will be first round of eliminations for the cars that were in VA. You will be paired up on the ladder that was completed in VA. For MM, TT and OC this will just be a qualifying run that will count toward both events. At the end of this session we will bring back the MM, TT, FZ and OC cars from VA for first round. This will not count as a qualfying run toward Bristol, so the VA. cars and trucks will only get two qualifying runs for the Bristol event. Then we will run bracket cars. Third round of Bristol Qualifying will be 2nd round of VA. eliminations. Again the cars remaining in the VA event will be running off of the ladder. Any first round losers from VA can just fall in to the third round of Bristol Qualifying. We will then switch back and forth between bracket cars and showdown cars until both races are complete. Any round of the VA race ran after this last session will NOT count toward Bristol Qualifying.
Please post any question you may have. It will be very important to listen to the P.A. in Bristol if you are involved in both races!
NOTE: The Virginia race is a closed event, there will not be any new entries accepted in to this event.

Out of Pocket... I will be away from a computer starting this afternoon (Friday July 22) until Monday August 1st. Please post any questions and I will answer them when I return.
