I'm about to get rid of the notorious fake oil pressure gauge and need some feedback on removing the gauge panel from under the dash so I can drill the extra hole and mount the new gauges. Thanks. :)

Great thread but, I can't find the photos in the gallery.

From everyone's posts, I assumed the console would be fairly easy to remove. Mine required a ton of force and there was no clearance between it and the shifter console.

Also putting the shifter in "1" will give you more room to work. (with engine off and wheels chocked)

For me, it was a cast-iron b*tch to get it out, and even worse getting it back in. I seriously dread the day when one of the gauge lights burns out. No other mod I've done on my car has been so much trouble.

I have about a million extra clips that hold the cluster in.
Im almost positive they are the exact same as the clips on the front grill.
