I was detailing my car yesterday, and I noticed that (when looking from the rear) the car appears to be sitting lower on one side. The passenger side wheel well gap (between the top of the tire and the fender) reveals this; it has less room than the driver's side.

Is this problem fixed easily by adjusting the auto-leveling air suspension? I've never done this before, so I am confused as to why it would be doing this? :(

Mine does the same thing, and I've heard quite a few others mention it, too...I don't know WHY, but it seems common.

I totally thought this thread was about another topic when I saw the title. ;)
Just based off some of the recent threads we've had.

I'm not an expert, but it appears the autolevel is working properly by adjusting to maintain the car's frame at on a even level. Don't let the "gap" appearance fool you into thinking something is wrong.

From the rear, the car looks to be resting level. (See how the roof line runs along with the shelf on the wall.) The slope on the garage floor might account for the different wheel well heights, which is what is causing the autolevel to adjust itself. I trust your garage isn't "perfectly level," and slopes to a drain, like it and most other parking surfaces do.

Very astute! After reading your thread, I went out and looked at my car. Sure enough the level seemed off, but the roof line was level as proven by a contractor's level. I park in an industrial park and the lot is wildly unlevel. I moved the car to various spots, and the same thing happens. I seem to have way too much time on my hands at work. I better go tell someone in the plant to do something so I can justify my salary. :D

I have seen my car appear uneven at times and perfectly level others, something that may provide some answers is what was mentioned earlier; using a level preferably at least 18" long.

Set level on garage floor and measure slope, then set level on the cars roof and check to see if it is closer to being level.:)

Mad1^^^^^^^It would appear that "Columbo" has hit upon a plausible answer. His observations are most keen!

Me too. Considering this is Marty's nickname at the Cumberland Hooters, I was expecting something way different.
