After months and months of research, joining forums just for the search feature, dozens of sound clips, very few videos, and hours of thinking I have made and ordered my decision: Spintech Sportsman Street Mufflers. They came in today after work.

I had never even heard of this brand until I was behind a 2000 Cobra in traffic. I posted asking if anyone knew this local at a Mustang board and sure enough, he was running Spintech Pro-Streets. Althought it sounded bad-ass, I knew it was too much for a daily driver. I went one step down to the Sportsman Streets after watching and listening to this video of a SOHC Mustang GT do passes over and over. I watched it so much I saved it to my hard drive and just looped it over and over, and kept checking back on it a week later to decide if I am making the right decision. This mustang has Sportsman Streets...

I have them installed on my Camaro because they are very thin. I have them connected directly to my headers and they are 3 1/2 oval pipe not round. I like them. It sounds about 1 decibel less then open headers...who cares, I like it.

Zero drone thanks to the 4.10s keeping my RPMs up and no O/D until 50 MPH per my tune. The flowmaster 40's droned on my CV, the Borlas droned on my CV, and these mufflers blew me away on my MM. Excellent mufflers and I could not be any happier. They are not too loud, and not too soft, and provide some sweet gurgling when you let off the gas @ 45 MPH. If you are considering the purchase of these mufflers and have a question or two, send me a message.
