I am going to get in touch with a gentleman who makes custom fiberglass hoods and body parts about making a hood for our baby. Weight is one of our biggest problems and a fiberglass hood (and maybe fenders) would help out alot. I want one with about a 1" to 2" cowl on it but, he should be able to make it stock looking also. Anyone interested let me know and I might be able to get a group rate. I will post prices as soon as I know.:coolman:

If you are considering something like the cowl induction hood from the '70 Chevelle, keep me posted?

Without a doubt, I would be interested in a custom hood. Please let me know if this happens. Hopefully nothing to gaudy, just a little raised cowl would be awesome.

Count me in, something with a little "nose" ala the SS would be cool.
I think that the cowl induction system of past Chevys would really not work well on these cars. We already have a much better air intake now. Even the system from back then was really questionable. It was supposed to open up a little flapper at the base of the windshield at WOT. This would, in therory, suck in fresh, cooler air. Our cars already have fresh air coming from the front of the car, not on the top of the engine like the old cars.

But, how about some openings for a Ram air? Nothing Obnouxious. 2, just about 3" across, on ether side of the centerline, then routed to the air box....yeah that would b cool... WIth a little neon jusy on the inside. In red... give it the Fire breathing look. Ok, a little obnouxious.

Why not use the Ram Air style from the 71 Mach 1. Cervinis makes them for the Lightning and mine looks great. Unfortunately, they are tied up in development with other things and will not be producing them for the MM. Maybe someone else will step up to the plate. I myself would be interested also.

id be interested in a custom hood for sure, even if the cowl had no purpose other than "just for show" (which i used to hate). maybe some air slot vents in the fenders too. i wonder what a ground effects kit would look like on an MM if they made one? Let us know what happens and how much

If the Shaker system wasn't $800 bux excluding the hood with the cutout, I think a lot of people would buy it! (like on Mach 1)
