Hey Folks,
I was hoping someone might tell me how to fix my head lamps and keep them from getting moisture in them?
Also, I'm looking for decals for the lettering on the bumper. Any ideas?

I don't get moisture in my headlamps.
I always have them on when I drive.
For the Bumper, you can go to 2 places...
www.ssinserts.com for stainless steel inserts
www.bobwhitedecals.com for decals in any color you want

Replace the headlights. There was a production change that took care of it, if you're still under warranty they should be covered. Go to Team Ford in Marietta, see Scott Levine. (if my assumption about your screen name is correct, you're in ATL)

I wouldn't worry about how to keep moisture out of the headlamps until the warranty runs out. Until then, have the dealer replace them under warranty.
That was one good thing about the extended warranty I purchased....they'll be replacing those things for the next seven years!!! :baaa:

Barry, they won't warranty them under extended warranty---the official fix is to drill small drain holes in the bottom of the lens--just paid $133 for a driver's side--have 100,000/6yr Premier Warranty. HEADLIGHTS ARE NOT CONSIDERED A SAFETY ITEM BY FORD  :mad2: I have pics showing the diffusion caused by the moisture---their recommendation is to run with your lights on for a while and they will clear up---when they cool, boom, the waters back--I had moisture in my left light for 2 weeks--no rain --no car wash ??????? I was really dissapointed in L/M over this one. :censor:

Ewww....I'll have to check into that. I bought the premier/platinum...whatever...bumper to bumper and figured all that stuff was covered. :depress:

there should be a vent with a small rubber hose at the top
when the headlights are on the heat ed moisture should vent out..
use your H/lamps more often and it should clear up!!
you should not have to drill holes...

Sorry, I don't do a lot of nite driving and don't use headlites in daytime--for a $30K car, I don't feel I should pay for poor engineering--the moisure was present EVERY DAY for over a month--that stinks---- and the inside of the lens was beginning to discolor--in another 6 months it would have been clouded like all the Ford headlights have been since 1989--I have had to replace the headlights in my '92, '95 and '99  :mad2:  :help: :bigcry: :censor:

Sealed beams don't fog. That's because they're SEALED. Key word...SEALED.
