I have to admit I was very nervous about sending my car to someone I didn't know with a check for what I consider to be a large sum of money. I had never had a ride in supercharged Marauder so I wasn't sure what to expect. The other board members here were vital in my decision making and putting me at ease with my decision. Dennis did everything he said he would and more. I'm very pleased with his performance as well as the cars.

I've had my car back for over a week now and I've had the chance to run almost two tanks of gas through it. The first tank of gas I only managed a little over 10 MPG. I'm sure everyone can figure out why. The second tank is looking like I will be in the 14 MPG range, not bad for spirited city driving.

My biggest concern was the efficiency of the after cooler. I do almost all city driving and I was wondering how the effective the cooler would be. After driving it in town yesterday at 102 degrees the after cooler was cool to the touch on the outlet side. The only time it has heated up a bit was after I let it idle for about 15 minutes. Then it was warm, but after a two-block drive to my shop it had already cooled to the touch again. I’m really surprised at how efficient it is at cooling the air.

A couple of things I may add is a gauge on it so I can check out the intake temp and I may install a air deflector to the top of the cooler behind the grille (similar to the Procharger guys only on the top side). Even though I don’t think either are really necessary. I’m getting ready to send off my upper intake to be coated to match the rest of the pipes to add a little more flash.

The car drives like you think a supercharged Marauder should. I was concerned about the lag of the centrifugal supercharger, but lag is little to nonexistent and I’m sure that is helped along by the converter. Most of my friends who have ridden in it have said they are impressed with the throttle response off the line and that was before the Nitto’s. It will absolutely waste the stock tires, and the firm second gear scratch is great. I installed the Nitto 555’s yesterday and I couldn’t imagine driving without them now. The car hooks much better and is no longer just spinning for 25 feet.

The only issues I had were with transmission shift points, which were all solved via email with the Xcal. Once I learned how to use the Xcal I have become sold on it.

Here is a list of the mods Dennis did for me.

Dennis also installed red bumper cover decals and his trademark R on the back and threw in a Marauder truck bib, which I have used several times already.

Thank you Dennis for the great job.

Congrat's have fun. It brings the joy of owning a Marauder to a whole nother level, at least for those with a need for speed. My mpg is right around where you are.
