Are there any sprays on the market for the vents? After a few days of inactivity, the air from the vents can be a bit musty. Any recommendations?

Good question. The MM is ok, but the company car is contaminated by some stinky air freshener the last guy used.

FORD has a spray that you use under the hood (in the cowl vent) with the a/c on to pull it through the system and clean out any mildew/musty smells.

It seems a trip to the dealer is in my future..

Two guys garge demo a product that is a foam that sprays into the a/c water drain hose. Fills the voids and then washes out when the a/c condenses.

Try their website.

Mine had that condition and the dealer fixed under warranty.

avoid using the max a/c setting..check the water drain pipe..

on the passenger side below the evap core it could get plugged
..retaining water and causing the odor..You would have to
jack up the car to get at it...near the passenger side near the
firewall...
Removing the little vent hose from the heater motor and spray
into the plenum..behind the passengerwheel it is accessible from up top
avoid using cleaners or anything acidic it with eat through the
evaporator and da ain't cheap...
Should be anti bacterial and recommended for AC systems...
DWD2 looks reasonable as long as it is not too expensive..

After you get it cleaned out. Try this:

Turn the AC off about 2 or 3 three minnutes before you get where you are going. Use the VENT, i.e. push the button marked VENT, when running on vent, the AC is not used. It gives the condenser a chance to de-frost and dry out. I was told this by a Ford tech. in south east texas.

BG makes an AC spray 'cleaner', I've good luck with it. Do make sure drains are clear as previously stated.
