Willow Grove Air Station is on the list to be closed. This is the home of the 111th Fighter Wing Of The Pa Air National Guard. If the Base closes the 111th Fighter Wing will be disolved and not relocated. This leaves this area with little military or air support in an emergency. This is the Unit all my Support Our Troops Donations Goes To. Please sign this petition to keep the base open.

Many of the BRAC decisions are being made today. In fact, the process has already started this morning. The reclama/lobbying and public input process has been rolling for the past 4 months. I am sure that the PA Governor and Sen Arlen Spector are on your side in this matter and have documented their positions on the closing of Willow Grove. They argued their case before the commission back on 8 July. :D This petition may be too much, too late; but Good Luck !!! We'll know the verdict soon -- probably before 5 PM today. I am afraid that this is already a Done Deal. :(

Not only will the closing of the Willow Grove Air Base be a threat to our nations security, but it will also hurt our economy. In the past 10 years the US Government, in the vast wisdom, has shut down two other bases in our area. The NADC, which was located in Warminster and the Philadelphia Navy Ship Yard. In a time of war, our Country needs all the defense that it can get.
