Okay, so here I am, I'm on sunrise blvd. trying to get home on the Sawgrass to I75. I was doing maybe 50 or so just trying to get to the highway and it was nearly midnight. Here comes this crazzy guy driving a new Trailblazer SUV, cuts me off doing 65+ on city roads and he stays in my lane. So I stay close to him and we get to light that's for the highway enterance ramp and it is red. I'm stuck right behind him. Now I don't know how familiar you guys are with this ramp but it is a two lane on ramp and I was kinda pissed that this chevy guy cut me off without signaling and was driving like a jack$$$ on city roads! So when it turned green I made sure to take the turn slow but ride his bumper, I got into the right lane, we were in the left, without signaling, floored the pedal to the floor and just totally smoked his slow Chevy butt!
So anyway, I got up to 95 mph, and just as I drove by him he floored it too but his slow V6 Trailblazzer was a tiny spec in my rear view mirror by that point. So I slowed down to 70mph so I can save gas on the way home. Next thing I know, this guy in an SUV pops up behind me and he's riding my ass, then he gets into the other lane and drives up next to me and stays on my side for a good two minutes or so. It's the same guy in the freaking Trailblazzer! The guy was either seriously trying to stare me down at this point or trying to figure out what just smoked him. Anyway, I sped up to 80mph to get away and about another three miles down, I got off on my exit and he followed me off on the exit. Then at the next stop light, it turned red so I was going straight but then he decided to get into the right turn lane and left. I just thought it was a funny kill story and you guys would get a good laugh out of it! :banana2: :stupid:

Nice story, just sounds like he was REAL mad that your car beat his Trailblazer.

Great! Just to clarify, Trailblazers have the 4.2L INline 6 (24 Valve) good for 275 hp.

A Trail Blazer SS will probably whip a stock Marauder but a Marauder could definitely keep up with a Silverado SS.

........thats why I never leave the house with the MM unless the gas tank is full--always fill up before bringing her home---cause you never know how long any event will last--should one occur--I default to LEO's ---only so much be gone before you fill up----just in case--you know--Mr Cases' son, Justin!!!

Speakin of which, I'm kind of spooked. My friend in Toronto just got a Chrysler 300 3.5l V6 two weeks ago, same time as my Marauder, and his car got jacked. I'm feeling kind of parinoid right now and a storm is commin! :help:

We're safe from carjackers for the time being. Until gas prices drop I hear they are hijacking nothing but Prius hybrids.

-AI was just thinking that would be a smart thing to do. Thoose hybrids have very expensive subcomponents. You know the battery on thoose suckeres cost between $7,000-$8,000? And that's just the battery. I don't want to think how much the electric motor and sub systems cost.

Don't the Trailblazer XL's (and possibly regular TB's) also have the 5.3l V8 as an option?
I know there is one, an XL I think, in our parking lot with a V8 badge. It's a Trailblazer, NOT a Tahoe or Suburban.
Anyway, I hate when people act like that. I get leary of smoking people becuase of the guys like this who just mess with you. You never know who's behind the wheel, their current mental stability state, or their "onboard weaponry".
I'm not saying don't smoke 'em, but were it me I'd probably get some adrenaline once he started following me like that.
I had some guy in a Mountaineer driving really slow in the fast lane, only one other lane, so I passed him on the right. He was doing 5 under, and I couldn't take it...
Anyway, I dust him (in my Grand Am when I had it), and next thing I know he's pretty far back, and pops on his brights and floors it. So he starts turning his brights on and off as he flies up to me. I'm like "WTF?"
So I go around some slower cars and this guy starts weaving around them. (No he wasn't a cop either, just an idiot.)
Finally I come to a light, I'm in the left lane and he's trying to come beside me on the right. The light is green, and the green arrow turns to a yellow arrow...at the last minute I trucked into the turn lane, and took the left turn, by the time I hit hte turn lane he was halfway through the intersection. I lost him after that.
So yeah, not to threadjack, just my story of a similar situation...I ended up having to take a different way home to lose this guy because I had no idea who was behing the wheel and what they wanted. I've seen plenty of people like that who are nuts and in a bad mood and ready to take it all out on someone they don't know on the road.
So yeah, maybe I'm just a big wuss. ;) Maybe you're just showing that if you just ignore them eventually they'll give up, tuck their tail between their legs and slink away!
