Yesterday, I make a right turn on to the main road. The main lane S/B has a right lane used for acceleration to traffic speed. You then merge left. Well, as I make the right, the car in the main lane steps on the gas. Now, this isnt some glorious kill story. The car, a buick I think, is being driven by some ole lady. :depress:
What is she nutz? I am already rolling whn I nail it. I had no intention to burn out from a roll, but that is exactly what happen. The rear squated, slid a bit sideways, gripped the tarmac and warp speed engaged :run: .
I passed her long before the lane ended and merged. As I looked in the rear view, I saw two black stipes in the acceration lane.
Ooops :o .
For the rest of my drive, I had the :D on.

Pick on someone your own size. :nono:
You were merging into traffic, that gives her right of way. You should know better. :shake:
You should be ashamed of yourself. Now go to your room and wipe that smile off of your face young man. :banned:

I always try to slide left to give merging traffic a free lane. :D It is quite obvious that there are lots of merge challenged folks out there. She should have just maintained a constant speed and let you fall in ahead (or even behind her).
I guess she picked on the wrong one to mess with and I have witnessed your take-off from a roll. You probably scared the crap out of her from the roar. You should probably place a standing order with BFG now for new sets of rears every 6 months.

Hey, I resemble that remark.

While not quite the same, I understand your feeling. The 3 day test drive I got of a STOCK Marauder did the same thing. I felt like a little kid because I couldn't stop giggling or smiling. The car made me completely happy.
So, finally, I hope to have my own within the next couple weeks.
Don't wipe the grin off. Enjoy it for all it's worth. Probably the best therapy out there.
