Um, did you buy Trilogy 105? If so, Congrats! Your car will never be the same!

If not, what the hell are you talking about?

Yes.. #105 ! ! ! !

I made a LOT of notes while at the MVIII and now am in the process of executing "The Plan".

I put my ROH Drift R Wheels 18 x 8 +49mm (18 x 9.5 in rear widened by Weldcraft) with NITTO 555 245/45/18 Fr 295/45/18 Rr on last night.

Got the Trilogy on order.

Looking at the JLT intake as well.

I was happy to give you a ride along at MVIII and I'm happy you're getting blown, no matter which kit you decided on. I'm sure you'll be totally satisfied with the Trilogy kit!

Congratulations AZ Marauder!
I happen to be Trilogy #92. I'm very happy w/the kit & the ease of installation & the ultimate power I got from just the base kit. I happen to live in Apache Junction & dyno tested my car last Fri in Tempe. Got 350 hp @ the rear wheels @ 6,000 rpm & it was still pulling. The horse power graph hadn't made a down turn yet. Thin air & warm temps & poor fuel kept me from my goal of 375-380. Have no other mods to the car other than some transmission upgrades. The car drives well in the heat - 110 w/the factory thermostat & the car stays normal temps at all times. Only addition of one bottle of Red Line Water Wetter. You should see similar results. Major problem is finding fuel rated higher than 92 octane in AZ. I've had no detination problems at all. Hope you love your kit as much as I do mine.

Mongo, was the outside air temperature at 110 degreees the day you had your car Dyno tested also? I'm asking you this, because my car Dyno tested at 400 RWHP with the Trilogy chip, and the Kooks headers & exhaust package. And I cannot see those exhaust upgrades adding anymore than about 15-20 additional HP to a supercharged engine. But if your car was tested in 100+ degree heat, then that would exlain you only getting 350 RWHP.

Oh, BTW, congratulations AZMarauder!!!!!

Hwy.. That was very nice of you to take me on the ride. The Procharger Kit you have is awesome, no doubt. I really wanted to convince myself to do a centrifugal type... just to do something different. (I've never had a centrifugal). But... when I went for the ride in Big's car... and that Eaton let out it's moan...... well it just reminded me so much of my Cobra... I was right at home. Mike just added to it when he dragged me along on the "Cruise".

I wrestled with the decision. If I lived in Kansas City area, I'd be ProCharging... in the southeastern end of the country, I'd be over with Dennis and Vortech. Michigan, obviously with the Jerry and Lidio and Trilogy. But stuck out here in Arizona... it was mail order to every one... I went with a package that was familiar to me. I never had an ounce of trouble from my Cobra and I am expecting nothing less from my Marauder!

Gee Mongo... where you been hiding?

Tempe? Was that at xTreme automotive (for the Dyno)?
On your Dyno run did you have a tune from Lidio to keep the car from downshifting?

Would you consider coming down to Sierra Vista 8 October for a car show?
I can host you at my house! If things go as I plan I want to have my MM charged and in the show. Then we'd have two S/C d MMs there. I am a member of the SVTOA and they will be down as well... so it will be Snakes and 4 Doors! :D

Billy,

Several things will affect us here in Arizona. They tune the car with a little less timing than the east coast cars based on our octane and our elevation. I live at 4000 Ft. While Phoenix is much lower.... the track I run on in Tucson is 3100 Ft. So it isn't unusual for us to have lower HP figures simply because we can't safely tune as aggressively. OTOH... that same elevation makes us seem like GOD to the N/A cars out on the street. Obviously they suffer from the thinner air as well ! :)

I got the Magnesium colored ones.

When you ask if they ever got Comp Black Drift R rims... I assume you mean in the +49mm offset. (they have them in stock in the +40mm)

Group A will NOT get Black Drift R's unless enough MM owners stepup and want to buy them. Then they can force an order from the factory in the +49mm.

I didn't see any real positive response to my thread
http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=19913&highlight=ROH

They do offer powder coating and polishing... but it is pretty expensive total.

I will post up pics of my Car / Rims tomorrow. I have a lot of wrenching to do on my Mitsubishi Starion today.

They don't really offer the Black in +49mm. (Tho Jeff at Group A couldn't figure out why...) BUT ... they can be ordered to be made.... the issue is they have to order a certain bulk... and they can then order 50% of that bulk to be one color of the other.

The problem with the 50% is that is about 40 something rims I think. I may have the numbers in my thread.....

That or if you have any good contacts for Powder Coating... get the Magnesiums.... get the backs widened.... then send em for powder coating....

If I can help you sort through this holler.

OBTW... you can order them through Discount Tire..... they match Group A's price... buy them FROM Group A.... and cover the shipping.... what a deal!

Congrats on Kit #105!!

I enjoyed the company and the conversation Thursday night during the caravan up and down Woodward Avenue. You have a well seasoned knowledge of cars, so I'm very honored to have been part of you decision. From what I gathered during our talk, you have a very well laid plan that has been forged from plenty of homework and research. This kind of approach will guaranteee your success at acheiving Marauder Nirvana:D

AZ Marauder,
Yes, that was Extreme Automotive in Tempe. They are primarily a high performance Corvette shop dealing in Vortex & pro charger. Yes, it was warm that morning about 11 a.m. that day @ his shop. He said he consistently gets that type of results w/any type of supercharger, roughly 25-35 hp lower than report on the east coast. Thin air & humidty during monsoon if corrected he guessing its somewhere around 5,000 - 6,000 above sea level. I have not made any exhaust upgrades yet except a set of Flow Master two-chamber mufflers. The guy that did the dyno testing has an 03 & 04 Cobra both getting 585 hp @ the rear wheels & seems to know alot about Eaton Superchargers. I am going to be getting a new chip from Lidio for the 3.2 pulley, 430 gears & exhaust. I just wanted to get a base line idea of what my car is doing. Oh yea, I installed my Trilogy kit with no problems what so ever. So if you need help, let me know when.

Chad is the guy you are talking about at Xtreme.. good guy.... that is where I will go to check out my car when I am done. You are going with the smaller pulley already eh?

Do you go to the Pavillions at all? I could come up that way and we could meet there. Have to be after Labor Day tho as I am going to Dallas area for a Starion/Conquest National Meet that weekend.

I'll let you know when we plan to do the Trilogy install.. perhaps you can bring yours down and give us a hand. (picture is worth a 1k words :D )

AZ Marauder,
Yeah, we must be talking to the same guy @ Extreme Automotive. He told me he did a dyno test on a stock MM from Tucson, that must have been you. Somewhere around 260-265 hp, does that sound like yours? Spent all day washing & waxing the Marauder to go up to the show @ the Scottsdale Pavillions (off of Indian Bend). Made new friends w/Cobra owners. I was the only MM. It was kind of cool to see all of those different vehicles in one place. I got a lot of attention from Ford people. Most of them really like the look of the Trilogy Super Charger. One guy asked me if I wanted to sell it! I don't think so. I was pretty much accepted by the Mustang guys so I parked w/them. If I can't make it on 10/8/05, we will have to meet somewhere. I don't have a problem just taking a drive.

Yes... it was me that he was talking about... I did a pull with stock tune, then a pull with Lidio's tune. Trouble is... without a tune that keeps the car from downshifting... it is pretty hard to to get any reasonable numbers. The SVTOA (Special Vehicle Team Owners Association) had a dyno day. Are you a member of SVTOA? That is when I was up there. I've dyno'd there several times... with my Cobra, my Fairlane, and now the Marauder.
We did the Pavillions after the dyno action. Great time.

Thanks Mike... hey can you point a brother towards the Eaton Posi and 31 Spline?

I ordered my stuff up through Lidio at Alternative Auto. His prices were right and he had just performed the same install on Jerry Barne's car. Both Jerry and I did the upgrade as a preventative measure after we saw a few other's with broken axles from hard launches and shifts.

The eaton posi is a sweet piece indeed. Fully rebuildable if you need. It'll be the last rear end you'd ever need.

The axles are custom, but not expensive. They are modified 31 spline limo axles. The shop Lidio has them done up at is top notch.

The combo will have your rear end pretty bullet proof. The only thing you might want to add is a girdle if you plan on running slicks and pounding the car all the time at the track. For occassional track trips, it not really needed.

Give Lidio a call and see what he can do for you. The eaton can be ordered locally by you I'd think, but I'm not so sure about the modified axles. You'll want a plcae you can trust for that.

Keep us posted!

I wonder if I can order axles from strange or those folks. I've done it for my Fairlane and its 9". Had to make a BUNCH of measurements. :help:

I guess Lidio would be easier... since he knows exactly what I need. That way I don't have to tear it down to measure etc.
