ok,... The car is parked in the garage on the nice flat garage floor. I decided to pull the center gauge console. I pulled the negative battery cable, then I put the shifter in first so I could pull out the console.
I pulled the console, and took it in the house cause it's 100 degrees outside. I went back to the garage and apparently the Marauder wanted to stretch her legs,.. I guess it's a good thing the Honda was parked there, otherwise it would've went out into the street.
Now,.. someone please 'splain this to me......
How the hell can a car in 1st gear, not running, parked on level ground roll out into the driveway?!
This story has a happy ending. After I uncoupled the cars, I was looking at the damage to the Marauder and the strangest thing happened. The big ass dent in the corner of my front bumper went "POP" ....yup, it just popped back out! I guess I have the the Texas heat to thank for that.

I'm a lucky bastage. :o
Don't worry,.. before I came in to post this I put in in park! :P

Your Marauder will roll on an incline in any gear except park.

That makes sense, except it was on a level floor,... and it sat there in 1st for over an hour before it rolled out.
...weird.

DId your paint crack? I backed a CVPI into a stationary object and did the same thing to it. I reached up inside the bumper and poped it out, but the paint was all cracked and creased.
You got lucky! the e-break is your friend

I guess I'll be using the e-brake for now on! :o
The paint didn't crack. :bows: I can only guess it's becase the sun has been beating down on it all day. It's so hot I couldn't touch for more than a few seconds!
The Honda wasn't so lucky,... the paint is cracked. I think I can fix the dent.

ARGGGHHHHH!!! :( :depress:
Not a HONDA!?
Actually, My Marauder tries to push Hondas off the road too, so you can't really blame your Marauder for its actions... :D

Correct me if I'm wrong... if the engine isn't turning & spinning the torque converter then it doesn't matter what gear it's in because noting inside the trans is engaged. Not like a standard shift.... as many have said " the e-brake is your friend", get in the habit of putting it on everytime you exit the car...

Probably got tired of waiting.
You can also use a heat gun to remove dents from a plastic bumper. As long as there are no cracks or peeling paint you won't notice any damage. :D

Heat gun?.... not needed here in Texas. I was just out moving the sprinkler and I noticed the dent in the Honda is gone!
Well,.. at least this heat is good for something!
I agree Barry,.. Logan did put it best. I did feel pretty stupid. But, I figured I'd share this with everyone,.. so no one else does this. :P

Garages usually have some slope to them to drain any water such as rain water dripping off or snow melting off the car. My garage is sloped quite a bit.

Exactly. It's usually in the building code that garage floors have to have some 'fall' to them. They can be anywhere from 1" to 3". You may not notice a 1" fall, but water will. (and Marauders apparently)

ya know,.. I just noticed it. I looked at drywall, there is a slight drop.
oh yeah,.. I also noticed the Honda had about a 10" skid mark on all 4 tires. :P
heh! That made me laugh,..

See, if you had just driven up to Grapevine today, (nice Marauder air conditioning for the trip) met us at Chucks for a burger, none of this would have happened.
Glad it appears to have turned out OK.

Don't feel stupid - stuff happens - like with me. Backing into a post and damaging not only the bumper but two massive dents in the quarter panel  :mad2:  now that is dumb. At least I made it around the trees and telephone pole!
