I had to get the Rear view mirror replaced due to vibration.
The replacement did not have the auto button and the on/off switch.
Kinda hokey looking.
I requested the dealer to keep it for me if Ford does not demand it back.

Sounds like they used the wrong mirror.

Chuck, That was the first thing I thought of.

The Parts manager double checked and said "this is the correct replacement Part according to Ford"
I was amazed that it was not the same part:down:

Sounds like they used the wrong mirror.

Service Manual: page 501-09-1

There are two types of interior rear view mirrors available:

manual day/night interior rear view mirror
auto-dimming interior rear view mirror
Unfortunately, the Service Manual does not offer parts number.

We had the same thing happen when the steering wheel was replaced. They ordered a GM wheel.

Yes Dan! It does auto dim and the correct wire harness connector plug terminals.

Just no switches on/off and auto.
Belive me I did not go down without a fight!:fishslap:

Belive me I did not go down without a fight!:fishslap:This would not fit well in my MM due to the overhead console lights. I love the glow from the lights on those butons. You got a picture?

No I did not take one.

Did you put those little backlit bulbs, into the overhead console map lights?

Why is your car vibrating so bad that it ruined your mirror?
