It was not my sub, it was the shoulder harness retractor thingy for the center seat belt. I need your help here though, I removed it and put DynoMat down but I cannot get any slack out of it too put it back:confused: . Now that I have removed the rear speakers I'm not sure which are +/-, there are a brown/orange and a brown grey. If I remember correctly FLM like to use earth tones as grounds so the browns should be the negative. After unplugging the rear speakers I faded the music to the rear of the car which issolates the sub in order to listen to it and I'm not happy with it at all so I'm going to be putting a 8 in. JL Audio free air sub in its place. I will try using the factory amp at first and then I may be asking for further assistance sorting out the factory amp wires. Thanks.

the +/- is not that important as long as you have both speakers the same.

connect your rear speakers then fade the the radio to the rear, find a music selection with a decent bass line then use the balance control and alternate between both speakers. If your bass is stronger out of the individual speakers than it is when both speakers are playing change the wires on 1 speaker and you're good to go.
This is a simple phase test and it's actually easier than it sounds, if the speakers are out of phase you will easily notice the bass disappears when both speakers are playing.

I have a free-air sub in my MM also. I went with a 10". The 8" you are going to use will fit perfectly bottom mounted to the underside of the rear deck using the existing sub hole. If you want to save some headaches trying to locate annoying rattles, mount the woofer to a piece of MDF with Dynamat on all sides the bolt the MDF to the rear deck.
