I would suggest black thermal coating (ceramic) instead of powdercoating.

IIRC...I asked Jerry Barnes in the summer of 2004 if I could get one in black. If I'm not mistaken...he said they actually come black I think? The color that the Trilogy kit comes in out of the box I believe is painted that way?

Don't quote me on this though...I could be wrong...you'd have to ask Jerry himself.

It was a prototype. It was produced for this car only. The detail are on this site somewhere...

Isn't it amazing how FORD can build all of this and GET IT RIGHT for a show,
but they can't reproduce it on an assembly line ???

Hmmm, 3.27 gears, get up and go with the eaton, and still have decent fuel economy. :)Anyone running 3.27's or stock gears with the trilogy kit?

I would have paid up to 10 grand extra to get an MM from the factory like this.....

thats mine in flat black. i was gonna get it powdercoated but i ran outta time and money so i used my header spraypaint. I did all the parts in black as you can barely see from the tensioner and its bracket.

edit: just click the link...inline too hard! aghgarghrhg!!! SMASH!

You would have paid a lot more than that though. The 2000 Cobra R's went for something like $50 - $70k if memory serves me correctly. Quite a bit of mark up from $20-$25k (GT). It had a N/A 5.4 that was hand installed into the vehicle. There were only 300 built though.

And BTW, I like the powder coated grey Trilogy Supercharger much better than any Black one. To each his own.

I ran the stock 3.55 gears for quite a while with the Trilogy blower. To be honest, I prefered the 3.55 gears over the 4.10s for street use. The car has a much more long legged feeling with the 3.55s, and the shove in the back off the light is greater as well. With the low end of the roots, the 3.55s are awesome. The 4.10s are simply a bit faster for all out dragging. Good for about 2 tenths in the qtr.
